Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks.""It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain.""Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers.""Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance.""The setup is pretty simple.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."

"The most valuable features for me in ESET Endpoint Security are the antivirus feature and detection.""The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Security is the antivirus for the endpoints.""The most valuable feature of ESET Endpoint Security is that it is light on resources. It has a very low impact on the system. It uses low memory and the setup size is very low.""I like everything about ESET Endpoint Security, and as an installer, it's very easy to install the solution, but the most important feature is that it helps defend against any virus. When the virus comes, ESET Endpoint Security stops it.""I have found the ESET Management Console very good. It gives me many features, such as managing users and installing a new version.""The most valuable features of ESET Endpoint Antivirus are that it is lightweight, it will not take up too much CPU and memory of the server or workstation. The detection is good and easy to use.""The overall security capability of the product is pretty reliable.""The features seem to be alright."

"The product's most valuable feature is the flexibility of installation with the console and a simple administration strategy.""Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum have met our requirements.""The solution is easy to use.""What we like most about Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum is its prompt response. We also like that it does scans on a daily basis, over every laptop or machine we set it for, and it also generates the report daily.""I mostly like how they capture particular files and submit them to other files, and they have the solution console. And for example, we are using the one in for an application, like, on the RansomFree, if there are any vulnerabilities in patches coming, in the future, they fix these.""Kaspersky EDR is constantly updated and can respond to any threat nearly in real-time. They work hard to produce all the updates on time.""The encryption feature that allows you complete control of your device is what I found most valuable in Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum.""It offers features like system hardening, vulnerability management, patch management, and device control, which are not present in other solutions."

Cons
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR.""Cannot be used on mobile devices with a secure connection.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation.""The SIEM could be improved.""They can include the automation for the realtime updates. We have a network infrastructure with remote sites. Whenever they send updates, they are not automated. We have to go into the console and push those updates. I wish it was more automated. The update file is currently around 31 MB. It could be smaller.""We've had a lot of false positives; things incorrectly flagged that require manual configuration to allow. Even worse, after we allow a legitimate program, it sometimes gets flagged again after an update. This has caused a lot of extra work for my team.""The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions""It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"The update process can be improved, and there could be an automatic update process when a new version comes out. For system updates or program updates, there could be more automation.""In the future, a cloud version of the solution would be great.""The adware module could be improved.""The solution could be more user-friendly.""The solution could have a more user-friendly interface.""ESET Endpoint Antivirus can improve by having better EDR intelligence and automation. The EDR still needs lots of human interpretation. It can be better if add more intelligence to the EDR part of the endpoint protection.""The migration between on-prem and cloud has room for improvement.""The console or GUI of ESET Endpoint Antivirus should improve. Additionally, they should provide an addon feature for HyperV and VMware."

More ESET Endpoint Protection Platform Cons →

"We would like more data to be available from this solution, in order for it to be usable in strategic decision making.""For improvement, they should make the scanning process faster. The scanning and updating take more time.""The solution can improve the uninstallation process. The removal of the agent can be difficult. The purpose is for security, but it requires a lot of time and sometimes a special tool.""Security features could be improved.""I want Kaspersky to extend its products to internet protection. For example, I would like them to develop a firewall integrated with EDR.""We have had some issues updating Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum.""I want the tool’s pricing to improve.""An area for improvement in Kaspersky Endpoint Detection and Response Optimum would be to provide the cloud console platform to all users, regardless of the number of licenses a company has purchased. For example, a company with 50 employees should have access to the cloud console platform even if they have only purchased a certain number of licenses for the solution."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
