We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"For the initial first level of support, we provide it from our side. If there's escalation required, we use Cisco tech for the AMP. And again, they are perfect. I mean, one of the best, compared to any other vendors.""The most valuable features of this solution are the IPS and the integration with ISE.""The simplicity of use is its most valuable feature. You can very clearly see things.""The stability of the solution is perfect. I believe it's the most stable solution on the market right now.""I am really satisfied with the technical support.""It is a very stable program.""The solution's integration capabilities are excellent. It's one of the best features.""It doesn't impact the devices. It is an agent-based solution, and we see no performance knock on cell phones. That was a big thing for us, especially in the mobile world. We don't see battery degradation like you do with other solutions which really drain the battery, as they're constantly doing things. That can shorten the useful life of a device."

"The most valuable feature of this solution is the management.""The most valuable feature is the antispam module, which comes in the bundle.""Technical support has been very good. They're quick to respond to any problems.""The most valuable features are the sandbox, mail scanning, sandboxing attachments, files, and that it responds to VPN porting.""This is a product at the top of its game. That is the reason we choose to support and sell it.""The potential threat protection feature is the most valuable. In the event that one of my computers is not on the network and gets a virus, ESET Endpoint Security quickly detects the malware, and in most cases, it removes the virus. It also has the ability to remotely shut down the computer. I like the remote control part the most.""The protection and device control features are the most valuable. I found its user interface and integration pretty good. It is very user friendly as compared to other products.""I would say that this solution has the best support team in this kind of Endpoint protection product."

"The most valuable feature is its ability to customize for different groups.""We have seen a decrease of approximately ninety percent in the number of events.""This solution helps us by providing central management of anti-malware and anti-exploit functionality.""Being able to carry out a full scan on your system.""The solution has a good management interface.""The dashboard actually is good and it is simple.""The installation process is very easy, especially since it is on the cloud.""The protection is really good with Malwarebytes. It's also user friendly and quite easy to set up."

Cons
"The solution needs more in-depth analytics.""In the next version of this solution, I would like to see the addition of local authentication.""The initial setup is a bit complex because you need to execute existing antiviruses or security software that you have on your device.""In the next release, I would for it to have back up abilities. I would like the ability to go back to a point in time to when my PC was uninfected and to the moment of when the infection happened.""The reporting and analytics areas of the solution need to be improved.""I would like more seamless integration.""The technical support is very slow.""I would recommend that the solution offer more availability in terms of the product portfolio and integration with third-party products."

"Everything has some kind of room for improvement.""If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET.""The solution should offer more security surrounding blacklisted websites.""The solution includes only Intrusion Detection and not IPS, which is an important feature that is missing in my version.""The product could have better integration with third-party products that would help extend functionality.""They could be more aggressive with malware.""The use of SQL Server can be improved. At times, there is a bit of challenge while linking it with the Javascript. ESET Endpoint Security requires modern technology or modern equipment on site. You will find it difficult to use ESET Endpoint Security with dual-core machines. If they can add the cloud management feature to their product, it will be much easier. If you look at this COVID situation that we are in right now, people are working from home, so you need to control the computers wherever you are. For example, if you are using any email setup and you are hosting it on your own, all the email traffic will be going through the same network. You need to protect all of your computers from the attack. It is best if you can do it remotely rather than having an IT person to come onsite to manage all computers and metrics etc, which isn't a smart way to do it.""A few times, we have had problems with downloading an agent. We had to try multiple times and multiple uploads."

More ESET Endpoint Security Cons »

"We experience a lot of false positives.""The product update capability needs to be improved.""This solution reports far too many false positives!""Notifications are lacking.""Overall, I haven't found any ways the solution lacks in features or usability.""The product has major problems in almost every facet of setup and use including setup, configuration, lack of functionality, lack of stability, false positives, questionable reporting, inability to protect from randsomeware and poor technical support and development.""The online reporting needs to be improved. Currently, we have to look at it online, and if we want to download a report, it just downloads as an Excel file. It's just raw information. There needs to be some way to better display it when it's downloaded.""They can include advanced scanning and improve reporting. I scan malware on the pen drive. Some more reports need to be added for that. It should also provide better protection because we have a new version of the malware."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"The costs of 50 licenses of AMP for three years is around $9,360.""The price is very good.""The visibility that we have into the endpoint and the forensics that we're able to collect give us value for the price. This is not an overly expensive solution, considering all the things that are provided. You get great performance and value for the cost.""Whenever you are doing the licensing process, I would highly advise to look at what other Cisco solutions you have in your organization, then evaluate if an Enterprise Agreement is the best way to go. In our case, it was the best way to go. Since we had so many other Cisco products, we were able to tie those in. We were actually able to get several Cisco security solutions for less than if we had bought three or four Cisco security solutions independently or ad hoc.""In our case, it is a straightforward annual payment through our Enterprise Agreement.""Our company was very happy with the price of Cisco AMP. It was about a third of what we were paying for System Center Endpoint Protection.""There are a couple of different consumption models: Pay up front, or if you have an enterprise agreement, you can do a monthly thing. Check your licensing possibilities and see what's best for your organization.""The Enterprise Agreement is like an all-you-can-eat buffet of Cisco products. In that vein, it was very affordable."

"This solution is a good value for the money.""Currently, we are running on a three-year license. The pricing might be around $20,000. There aren't any costs above the standard licensing fee.""It is subjective. I don't think it is expensive. If you can have 10 user licenses for less than $100, I don't think it is expensive.""Its price is fair. If we compare it with any other retail product, it is a little harder to compete with.""The price could be lower, but it's comparable, as other solutions have a similar price for the same effect.""I think it's available for a pretty fair price. If you know how to use it, then it's a very fair price for what you get.""I pay about $100 a year, so it's really cheap. I'm sure that if I need something else beyond more technical support, I'll need to pay more.""The license is annually, and the price is low compared to competitors."

"We expect to pay $1,000 USD a month, depending on the number of users.""It is expensive.""The cost may be something in the ballpark of $20-25 a year per computer.""Its cost is around $60 a machine. The cost of the total solution for 250 people is about $8,500 a year. If we add EDR to it, it will bring that cost up to about $15,000. The cost for Carbon Black is about $25,000, which is $10,000 more, but you get all AI functions with it."
