Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the speed at which G Suite Enterprise works.""It's certainly easier to meet. We have offices around the world and the ability to have a company meeting on Google Meet platform makes it a whole lot easier to actually have everybody virtually in one room at the same time.""When it comes to email, Google has a very good anti-spam engine or solution. We get very less spams. We don't have to use an external anti-spam solution with this.""I like the capabilities for collaboration on any platform. For example, I might be on an iPad whereas the person next to me is on a laptop and the person next to them is on their phone. We can all collaborate together and update documentation in real-time.""The user interface is fantastic. It's also available for the individual person, so that's also a great thing about it.""Extremely reliable, providing great collaboration features.""If I'm addressing certain emails from banks — automatic emails, like OTP, etc. — I can create rules and forward that OTP to the specific email IDs. You can create rules and deliver mail to different groups using the forwarding feature. It's handy.""The solution offers very good email. It's a very good email provider."

"The features I found most valuable in Intune are its user visibility and troubleshooting options.""One of the most valuable aspects of Microsoft Intune is its seamless integration with Azure Active Directory, offering capabilities akin to Group Policy Objects.""While I don't think you can ever have full visibility and control, Intune certainly allows us to see the applications being used and tells us if things like Windows patches aren't applied to machines. It does a good job. That visibility makes life a little easier.""The stability of Microsoft Intune is good.""The stability is good.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is having all our devices compliant with our policies.""The tool's most valuable feature is Autopilot.""We can manage and standardize security across your environment, identify problems, receive alerts, and so on. That's its purpose, and that's also why it's so good."

Cons
"The product could improve the number of participants allowed in a meeting and the strength of the meetings.""Improvements to G Suite would be the ability to collaborate more easily and better quality video compression in Google Meet.""With the Internet of Things, a platform that integrates well with others would be even better.""The UI could be simplified and made more user friendly.""The synchronization is a bit of an issue.""Google needs to improve its support.""For Google Docs, if you upload a Word document up to Google Docs, it could mess up your formatting quite a bit.""Google Workspace has limitations as a document or file management system. Without a workspace account, manual actions are required to perform tasks such as managing groups of people. Additionally, managing permissions individually is a time-consuming and inefficient process. It's difficult to articulate, but the process is not very streamlined."

More Google Workspace Cons →

"The add-ons must be integrated into the solution.""It would be good if, in addition to the minimal patching and compliance, we could also use Intune for application deployment. For instance, if a device is not patched, Intune should have the ability to push not only a Microsoft patch but also other patches, such as a browser patch.""There can be more logs. I do not have any other requirements.""It doesn't economize when you scale up. We have over 14,000 employees, and we have between 7,500 and 8,000 city-owned or personal devices being used to conduct city business. Its price can be improved. It is not a cheap solution.""The pricing can be expensive if you are not combining it with other products.""They should make it easier to order it, however, that's generally true for everything from Microsoft.""They should improve its compatibility with other operating systems such as iOS and Linux. It supports Linux but they still need to work on the iOS part.""There is no catalog for mobile access management (MAM) security."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "G Suite and Microsoft Office 365 offer products with similar functionality at several different price points. Zoho offer a more extensive range of products and attempts to provide all the applications required to run most small and medium-sized businesses."
  • "Careful consideration should be given to the different licensing options and provisions should be made for additional applications that may be required for your particular business."
  • "Traffic management tools may be required for larger setups and should be included in any pricing calculations."
  • "There are several areas where a G Suite implementation can reduce costs: lower license fees than some competing products, reduced hardware, and IT support costs."
  • "There are benefits that can provide a competitive advantage, e.g., improved productivity (with appropriate training), increased collaboration (with correct use of tools), flexible working - work from home or remote locations, easy to scale - fast onboarding of new employees, and ability to add and remove licenses, as required."
  • "We receive value for the price that we pay."
  • "The pricing is a bit on the higher side than normal. For a basic Google account it costs $100, but Enterprise is %150."
  • "The price per client within the business is too high."

I agree with @Saiyed Shahab Ahmed. You should also consider the management overhead of having multiple productivity tools.

Intune is more recommended for Microsoft OS or Microsoft products. On Chromebooks, if you are going with Google tech stack of Office apps, Google Workspace will be your go-to option in this case.

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
