We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"This solution allows you to easily access and make use of information that you have in your on-premises environment.""The feature I found most valuable in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services is the mapping. You just drag, and it maps the data. Mapping is very easy, and it's no code. When you migrate data or when the data interaction happens at the source and destination, the challenge is that you'll get different formats. The validation has to be done in the middleware, and the transformation should happen. In Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, it's very easy to do data validation and transformation compared to any other tool.""I rate the solution's scalability a ten out of ten.""The data integration and synchronization features in IICS improve the data handling processes."

"If we are working with a service-oriented architecture, as an architect as a baseline, it supports us very well in terms of expandability, and the kind of robustness it brings, especially with its serverless nature is fabulous.""It's very easy to use, and it's blazing fast. The best thing about Logic Apps is actually its ability to create a solution in a matter of hours. It doesn't need any kind of provisioning, and you don't need any kind of hardware. You can create very small elements like these Logic Apps, and you can build a whole solution from those very simple and small elements. I also like that they are completely incorporated with your existing active directory. You can use user groups directly from the active directory inside Azure and access it from the Logic Apps. You don't need to do anything special, and you just have access. You can just check if the user is, for example, allowed to do some action. Normally it would take you some additional steps and some additional calls to check it. You have to come back to the active directory to make this possible. In Logic Apps, you just have it, and you can use it. I think that there's this concept of logging and recall to the Logic App. It shows you every single step, every single product, and the result it's returning to the next step. It also has an amazing debugging feature. You can rerun some calls and see if, after a correction of the Logic App, for example, you get the correct results. So, it's almost like it's alive. It's like you make a change, poof it, and it's in production, and it's working. The speed of the composition of the problem and creating a real solution for it is extremely fast with this solution. It's extremely fast in creation.""Easy to use and is able to integrate with other Azure-based environments.""Connectors are very useful for streamlining data integration tasks.""The solution's most valuable feature is the no-code/low-code feature.""It's easy to use, and it's stable.""The design is highly beneficial. It functions as a sandbox environment.""The product has efficient connectors."

Cons
"The product's pricing is definitely an area where a bit of improvement is needed.""Synchronicity is an area for improvement in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services. For example, when you want real-time or immediate response from the solution when multiple technologies are involved, the integration with Informatica Intelligent Cloud isn't seamless, whether it's the MQ, JMS, or BES service, so the connectivity should be improved a bit. The data governance is good, but what's lacking is a demo. For example, if there's a new feature in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, the documentation for that new feature is limited, so if Informatica could give a more complete documentation and more demos, that would be better for the users. Right now, there isn't any issue with any of the features of the solution. It's the new feature awareness or user training, and improved connectivity that I'd like to see in the next version of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services.""This service could be more cost-effective.""There's definitely room for improvement in terms of user-friendliness. One example is that you can't search for jobs directly by file name. You can only search by job name. So, if you want to find a job that works with a specific file, you have to go through each job individually to find the right one. So, I'd like to see a faster search, one where I can search directly by file name."

"Microsoft Azure Logic Apps could have more customization options for connectors.""The solution lacks sufficient connectors.""It would be helpful if the vendor could provide more data connectors.""The solution could add an AI version to make it easier for people.""Especially when using a function or a parameter, that could be easier as that's not very well-documented, and it's not very clear from the tool itself how to use it.""Not all connectors are readily available, though. There are two types: managed connectors and app connectors. Some connectors require you to provide a username and password to connect to platforms like SharePoint or Salesforce. Due to security constraints, some users may prefer not to use these connectors. Instead, they might opt for the HTTP connector.""It can be a bit challenging to use.""It's for a limited kind of application or short Apps. And, not for the complex applications."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing model is something that can be improved."
  • "In terms of the licensing for Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, we had the option of paying based on the number of users and paying based on the volume of data, and we went with the data volume licensing option. Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services isn't as expensive as CIG. The pricing for it is okay, so I'm rating it a four out of five in terms of pricing. We did use the email verification and address validation services which weren't part of the contract, so we had to pay additional fees for those services."
  • "The solution is expensive."

  • "The cost of the solution could be cheaper."
  • "If we are comparing to other public cloud vendors, such as Amazon or Google Cloud platform, I wouldn't say that it's expensive. However, when we're comparing between a host such as GoDaddy or Digital Ocean, then it's a bit on the expensive side."
  • "It's very cheap, but it comes with pluses and minuses. The positive thing is that it's very cheap, but on the other hand, it's extremely hard to tell how much it will cost. At the start of the project, it's almost impossible to tell how many times you will be calling some kind of Logic App function. You cannot state how much of the internet transfer you will use or how much data your will use."
  • "The price of Microsoft Azure Logic Apps is inexpensive."
  • "Microsoft Azure Logic Apps could be costly if a user isn't careful. The costs associated with the solution could still be improved."
  • "The product is not cheap. I would rate the product's pricing a five out of ten."
  • "The pricing is not expensive."
  • "The pricing is okay. It's not highly priced. It's in the medium range."
