We performed a comparison between Microsoft Power BI and Sisense based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two BI (Business Intelligence) Tools solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The querying capabilities are the most valuable because they allow me to build many automations. We have many workflows and many databases that we work on a daily basis. They need to be updated quite quickly. In order to not to take much of our time doing these updates manually, I have set up these automations using the systems. The process is just to ingest the data and reprocess it. Every time I click a button, everything is updated in almost real time. It is by far the easiest system not only for querying but also for data modeling, data visualization, and deployment. It is light years ahead of Tableau and even Microsoft Excel to do these kinds of things. It is very easy to use and set up, and it has a lot of videos on the internet."
"Reports, dashboards, and visualizations are most valuable."
"I've seen no issues with BI's stability."
"The solution is not that difficult to install, although this will vary with the experience of the person responsible for its installation."
"It ingegrates nicely with Office 365."
"It is stable enough. It has a lot of powerful functions. It can also be customized with the DAX language. It is also intuitive enough and incremental. You can start with something simple, and then step-by-step, you can increase the reports and dashboards according to your needs."
"It gives us, the ability to do a lot of analysis quickly, similar to ad hoc analysis."
"It is a good platform for data analysis, organization, and all of the other interim performances that are necessary."
"There are many built-in connectors, which allow us to easily add new sources of data, often in minutes."
"It has allowed me to move my data to the cloud."
"Ability to work with very large data sources without the limitations of Excel."
"I have found the dashboard creating feature helpful."
"We like that this solution allows us to use data cubes to set up specific visualizations."
"The solution's technical support team is good."
"ElastiCube Manager is a very easy to use ETL tool, which includes the ability to easily transform raw data into reusable data."
"Support is very responsive and clearly one of the strengths of Sisense. I have always received a fast response and the staff is very helpful."
"I would like to see integration with Excel."
"I would like it to be a little bit more secure when I'm using the design feature on my desktop. For example, to have the ability to set up security passwords for opening the file. Currently, they don't have that. Tableau, for example, has a visual way of doing data processing steps, whereas the Power BI system still has some code, although it is very low code. It would be great to have the kind of view that Tableau has."
"Not having to login again after a mobile app upgrade. A simple login on mobile would be great."
"Right now, their premium pricing is keeping us out of the premium market. The premium price per user just doesn't make sense for us, but we haven't reached the limit of 500 users to justify the premium."
"It's not user-friendly; more tutorials, training, and better documentation would be helpful."
"The way you navigate the product, compared to other products in this industry, that could be improved a bit."
"I cannot comment on the stability as we haven't yet used it for a big project."
"The setup took a lot of tinkering with InfoSec to allow us to do stuff."
"The solution's setup process could be easier."
"The initial version we purchased only ran on Windows servers, which was less than ideal for our DevOps team. I believe that has been remedied in the latest release."
"This solution does not have tabs. In order to have tabs, you have to download an add-on to mimic the tabs. They should be integrated to improve the solution."
"The administrative side of Sisense is a little cumbersome and confusing."
"I would like to see more development and growth for the support of Knowledge Base and Community forums."
"Larger datasets will sometimes give a "Accumulated logs" error when trying to make minor changes. T"
"I would love to have more customization capabilities for building dashboards, especially in creating custom widget sizes."
"At present there are additional costs involved if we wish to share our data queues within this solution, which we would like to see removed."
