We performed a comparison between Quorum OnQ and SAP NetWeaver based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Veeam Software, Zerto, Commvault and others in Backup and Recovery."The most valuable feature of this solution is its ease of use."
"Quorum OnQ has taken the guesswork out of backup/recovery and disaster recovery."
"Quorum OnQ has a good ransomware protection feature, and customer service and support were very good."
"The biggest feature is being able to do a file recovery to the original server. That is extremely useful and has saved us a few times when we've had ransomware. In some of those cases, people's computers were locked down by viruses which spread to things they had access to, including server shares. But we were easily able to just restore to four hours prior, instead of a day or two or more ago."
"It does automated tests to the systems to make sure that you could spin them up if you needed to. And if something doesn't come back up in those tests, we get a notification saying the system didn't come back up."
"The solution is very cost effective."
"It is a stable solution."
"It is a very scalable solution."
"The integration feature is valuable."
"With SAP, you can trust what it tells you."
"The human capital management module is valuable."
"The presentation is the most valuable feature. It's very conceptual. We had to follow the instructions very strictly. It's a Dutch or German product and we had to follow it step-by-step."
"Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten."
"The stability is not an issue, and I would rate it at seven out of ten."
"I like that I don't need any extra tools to keep the solution up and running."
"The solution is scalable."
"It feels to me like it's going to be a little bit more work than I originally anticipated when upgrading the appliance. I haven't done that yet so I can't speak from true experience, but I went through the project plan and it feels to me like there's quite a number of pieces and components and things that have to be done. Quorum is going to manage the rollout, but in starting the initial conversation there were a lot of unanswered questions"
"Quorum OnQ can be improved by providing support for other operating systems like Ubuntu."
"I would really like it if they followed comparable products from other vendors and had an option where you could offload to tape. I know it sounds incredibly antiquated, but the benefit I see is that there would be a better air gap than you have with backing up to an online source."
"I would like to see iSCSI support added so that NAS storage servers could be protected. We heavily utilize NAS storage and the risk there is minimal backup options. Currently, we are backing up NAS to NAS which is costly and slow. Being able to integrate NAS server backup would be the last item on my Quorum bucket list."
"At times the email notifications don't go out, but a quick reset always fixes that problem."
"The cost could be reduced."
"The price of Quorum OnQ could be improved. We were exploring the product in terms of having a partnership with the distributor so that we could operate as a service, but for our own use, within the company, we couldn't justify the price unless the servers would become an option later on. The upfront cost of purchasing a license for the hardware is quite steep."
"We found that some of the live SQL databases we were backing up would be inconsistent when we would restore them."
"SAP NetWeaver it's still complex for a normal user unless you memorize those action codes."
"The initial setup is a little complex. The users are not able to install the prerequisite drivers or are not able to follow the SOP because they don't have access to SAP Logon. If users already have access, it will take seven to 10 days to deploy the solution. If they do not, it may take a maximum of 25 to 30 days."
"It can always improve. It should have the ability to connect with other databases. It was a little bit tough to do that. I would like to have the ability to research certain markets and then integrate it with NetWeaver. I'd like to compare it with other databases from other companies being used in the world so we can integrate it with our own products to compare if we are still current on the market."
"Scalability would be a good improvement in future releases, if they do release future versions. They tried to create a seamless style, but it's not necessarily scalable to big development environments that we're trying to achieve."
"SAP NetWeaver should be better integrated with other products outside of SAP."
"The product documentation can be improved."
"There could be regular updates to make the system more stable and capable."
"SAP is likely transitioning to S4, so it is unlikely that they will continue to use NetWeaver."
