We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"On the outside, the main differentiation is because Lookout ingest. They have ingested basically all of the apps for the last ten years and all the versions of all the apps, and we have that in a corporate database that allows us to do very large-scale machine learning and analysis on that data set. That's not something that any of the competitors really have the capability to do because they don't have access to the data set. A lot of the apps you can no longer get them because that version of the app is five or six years old, and it just doesn't exist anywhere anymore, except within our infrastructure. So, the ability to have that very rich dataset and learn from that dataset is a real differentiator.""The protection offered by the product is the most valuable feature. It detects vulnerabilities or traps on our users' phones and then prompts them to clean up their devices. Tools we used previously would only discover, which required us to gather information on the backend, so Lookout is a welcome upgrade.""The solution is stable.""The most valuable features are the antivirus as a whole, the anti-malware, and all of the protection features that scan our enterprise devices."

"I feel that it is a user-friendly product that provides quick response to users.""It's a stable solution.""The solution is stable.""The solution's technical support team is responsive.""We find the advanced license for the DLP to be particularly useful with this product.""The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Web Security stems from the fact that it is neither a cheap nor an expensive tool.""The product's installation phase was easy.""The security of Trend Micro Web Security is good."

More Trend Micro Web Security Pros →

"DNS protection is valuable.""The dashboard of the solution is a valuable feature.""Webroot excels in DNS protection, particularly in blocking malicious sites and phishing.""When compared with other products, Webroot DNS Protection is the best to secure the end users.""The installation is easy and doesn't take long. The program speedy and doesn't crash. It doesn't consume computer hardware or software.""Almost everyone who uses it is happy about the product. I don't get any types of complaints from my clients."

Cons
"From the analysis that we've done, they do seem to be maybe a step behind in trying to enter the market with a new solution. But when they do pick up, they do come out with some good products.""Lookout was moving into the SSE space. And so their work on SecureWeb Gateway and SD-WAN is still sort of evolving.""We just submitted an enhancement request reflecting the main area we want to see improvement in; the APIs. Currently, we're able to build dashboards, but it's somewhat backward because we use our MDM API to create them. Lookout should provide API to customers so we can query our data and use it in our cloud, and this is the only outstanding area for improvement with the product right now.""The stability depends on the service from where you access it. Because sometimes, the place you are in, you have Gateway. You don't have Gateway. The gateway is overutilized. At the end, you need to go through their gateways. And this is the key point here. You have a tracking point. If it's not well orchestrated, and it scales up as you add more to the existing team, you will suffer"

More Lookout Cons →

"The stability of the product is an area of concern where improvements are required.""I would like to see better scalability and better performance.""The product's scalability is an area of concern where improvements are required.""What could help Trend Micro Web Security in terms of improvement is the addition of a DDoS protection feature. It also needs to be more comprehensive to meet the needs of large-sized companies.""The costs are a bit high in terms of licensing.""The solution's scalability could be better.""The system should generate reports when an attack has been stopped, contained, or removed.""There are multiple ways Web Security could improve, such as usability and web access to several programming modes."

More Trend Micro Web Security Cons →

"The reporting system needs improvement. They should make is that we can customize it so we can add, remove or change its interface but they use a template. The reports cannot be changed.""The price could be improved.""If the solution could integrate with FortiGate where there would only be a need of one dashboard instead of having to set policies on our firewall and our DNS, this would be helpful.""It addresses a specific risk related to malicious sites but doesn't cover broader security aspects.""Reporting is not done in real-time. Rather, it is done in 15-minute intervales. This is something that should be configurable by the admin.""It needs to be more secure for production environments."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is fair; it's comparable to our previous solution, and we carried out multiple POCs and POVs (proof of value). The product is worth the money we pay for it."
  • "Lookout is definitely on the lower end when it comes to price point and that seems to be the only differentiator. The technology is in place in this space and it's really about who is coming in at the better price point now."
  • "In terms of feature performance versus cost, they're a good value."
  • "The licensing costs are good. Prisma has much more options and support for security, but it has a higher cost. For example, Lookout costs 2/3rd of Prisma's licensing price."
  • More Lookout Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "I don't remember the exact pricing, but I think that it is approximately $10.00 per user."
  • "There's annual and monthly options for the license. When you're on the managed services option, it's monthly. They're also setting up an option via AWS where there will be a monthly option via the AWS shopfront."
  • "The license is yearly and user based."
  • "We have found this product to be very cost effective. The endpoint product costs roughly $20, and when purchasing the endpoint product, there are multiple other features included."
  • "The solution is expensive in terms of deployment."
  • "I rate the product price a three on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
  • "I rate the product's price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is low price and ten is high price."
