In Knowledge Base, being able to model the workflow before developing the screens is great. We first work with the tables or the transactions using GeneXus and then we work on the screens. So, the most valuable feature of GeneXus is the transactions that allow us to develop the rules of the job. Procedures are also a nice component, and of course, the business component is great in order to do the insert or update.

GeneXus is fast. It takes longer to do the same things with other tools. 

The front-end features are the most valuable.

It's a straightforward product to learn and start using as a beginner.

GeneXus can reorganize a database by transporting data from the old structures to the new structures. The solution also generates procedures for these changes and produces new structures. Furthermore, GeneXus can generate the same application in multiple languages, such as C#, Java, JavaScript, RPG, and COBOL.

It is fast in creating systems and connects to the database quickly. So we can invest more time in resolving the problem and focusing on the cause.

GeneXus is a programming language that allows for the automatic insertion, updating, and deletion of information in the basic data while enabling automatic high and low modifications in the database. This feature frees up time to customize the application for other, potentially more complicated tasks. Utilizing GeneXus allows faster and cheaper program development, resulting in lower costs due to increased speed. Additionally, GeneXus offers good integration with third-party tools, which can enhance customization on the front-end, although with added complexity compared to normal. The front-end with GeneXus is not as good as the back-end.

We also like that GeneXus release an update to their IDE every three to four moths, so that it is compatible with any new operating system releases.

I like that it's very compatible with other tools. The most important feature is getting the developer to focus on the project's business case. It's not about focusing on how I can command this or how I can develop a front end, or how I can work with the advantages. The developer should focus on the business case of the project. No need to focus on connecting the database to the server or connecting the server and the front end. The developer can concentrate on the views. 

I like the testing models, which allow me to create unit or interface tests of my programs. It helps us avoid missed deadlines because we can detect all the errors before deploying the new versions of the solution. And I also like the integration with coding managers like DevOps or Jenkins. It enables us to do versioning.

GeneXus evolves with technology. 

The most valuable feature is that GeneXus works with several languages. It's possible to develop chatbots and other functionalities. Mobile device development is another feature that GeneXus offers for developers.

After you go through the learning process, this solution works extremely quickly in terms of enabling an application in a production environment. The other great thing about GeneXus is that they keep up with the pace of technology. They are always providing an integration with new technologies such as chat bots or artificial intelligence solutions as soon as a technology emerges.
