Steelhead Pricing
The pricing for Steelhead is on the higher side, especially when compared to other products like SolarWinds. However, the support provided by Steelhead is exceptional, adding significant value to the overall package.

I work on the technical side, so I don't know the price, but I know it's expensive and consists of multiple modules. There are devices for each scale, and the prices vary. Every device can support a specified number of sessions. For example, a customer can deploy a large-scale device in their data center with mini-sessions that simultaneously communicate with all the branches.

I do not like the pricing of the support. Most of the vendors will charge you for the other support or they will charge you through the app.

Don't be scared of the pricing, they seem expensive, but in reality the performance of these appliances is astounding. Even a circuit of the equivalent speed would not be as fast due to Riverbeds ability to optimize TCP windows to get 90%+ utilization of a circuit. Licensing was a little confusing when we purchased it, so take advise of what you really need before jumping in and purchasing.

The pricing is reasonable.
View full review »The solution is expensive and the service contacts are costly too. The cost of the device makes the value proposition borderline acceptable for us. The service contract fees we pay is approximately $30,000 annually.

The cost of the product is too high. We would like it to be lower.
We pay a yearly licensing fee.
View full review »It is somewhat costly but not nearly as costly as additional bandwidth every month.
View full review »Licensing costs are reasonable.
View full review »I would not have valuable / correct information on pricing or licensing as I did not handle that portion. I'm sure like anything, if you want all the bells and whistles expect to pay some $$.
View full review »I am not involved in the purchasing or licensing.
View full review »Its licensing is for a single machine. If we want to use it on more than one machine, it doesn’t work following the install installed. This should be improved as the cost for a licence is very high and we are unable to purchase this product for using each user.
