We have implemented the solution for a few clients.

The Email Security solution from Trend Micro is quite a strong solution. The antivirus engine is quite strong, which is one thing the partners and clients prefer.  

The biggest selling point is the GUI. The administration is very easy. For anyone who knows a little bit about IT, or is a little bit technical, can run the solution easily and administer it as well.

The initial setup is not overly complex. 

It is a product that offers good stability.

We can scale the solution if we need to.

Sometimes, especially when you are hit by ransomware, there are issues. The hardest thing to deal with is spam email, which you can actually protect your network from. They could improve the database or the engine to make it more robust to stop those kinds of emails. Even if an end user tries to open those emails, normally, they will send you the zip file or a website address or something like that, and the end user will get in trouble if they try to open anything. Therefore, if Trend Micro can improve its engine to stop those kinds of new ransomware, that would be a big plus for them. While they are good, not 100% of email is protected just yet.

It's quite pricey.

In Email Security, they basically pretty much cover everything. They can't add anything else. If they try to add something in, it might also slow down the computers and the process. I don't think they will add anything in the near future.

I've used the solution for a while. It's been four to five years. 

The solution is very stable and reliable. It's not overly complex or difficult. 

The solution can scale. They have a few products you can add on with Email Security, which can help you secure your network using other security products. Therefore, it is very much scalable.

We've dealt with technical support. They are great. They're on-time and very quick.

I am also familiar with Kaspersky. 

I would rate Trend Micro better than Kaspersky.

The solution is very straightforward and simple. It's not overly complex. It takes about an hour or two to have everything set up.

You only need two people to manage the solution if you have around 1,000 users.

The cost can be pretty high. Due to their cost, it's okay for the enterprise and the corporate level companies. They are the ones who go for Trend Micro Email Security. A small company does not go for it due to the cost. 

I'd rate the solution two out of five in terms of affordability.

The solution could be deployed either on the cloud or on-premises. It depends on the client what he actually requires. Both of them have similar kinds of features. No one is better than the other, however, personally, I prefer on-premises.

We use Trend Micro Email Security for customers who need spam protection.

The most valuable features of the solution are spam protection and email continuity. Even when the customer email servers are down, we can still send emails through Trend Micro Email Security. Trend Micro Email Security is a reliable solution.

The solution's multi-tenancy could be improved. I would like to see more integration of Trend Micro Email Security with different platforms.

Trend Micro Email Security is a scalable solution. We have 20 customers for Trend Micro Email Security, and they have about 10,000 emails.

I rate the solution a nine out of ten for scalability.

We need to get a small downtime and deploy the solution.

Trend Micro Email Security can be deployed within 15 to 30 minutes. I can deploy the solution by myself. The customer needs to route their emails to the given metrics.

Trend Micro Email Security is not an expensive solution. Our customers need to pay an annual licensing fee for Trend Micro Email Security.

Trend Micro supports both on-premises and cloud deployment of the solution. The advanced threat protection of Trend Micro Email Security has the certificate of the latest reports. The solution's user interface is good, and we can export the UI interfaces as PDFs. Trend Micro Email Security has user-friendly dashboards.

I would recommend Trend Micro Email Security for customers who need spam protection.

Overall, I rate the solution a 9 out of 10.

Our main use case for Trend Micro Email Security is to filter out spam, phishing, and suspicious emails before they reach my inbox. It adds an extra layer of protection to block harmful content and protect me. Additionally, it includes image security features, such as blacklisting and whitelisting, to further enhance security.

Trend Micro Email Security has helped reduce overall security expenditures.

I find the anti-phishing and anti-spam features most valuable because they reduce false positives and enhance security. Also, the image security feature is helpful, especially with just two pictures.

In terms of improvement, reducing false positives would improve the system. If there were fewer false positives, it would be nearly perfect.

In the next release, I would like to see improved detection for emails containing only text, especially if they seem suspicious but lack links or attachments. Currently, Trend Micro Email Security is effective with emails containing links or attachments, but those with only text can slip through unnoticed.

I have been using Trend Micro Email Security for almost two years.

We have had a few minor stability issues, but overall the stability of the solution is good.

The scalability of the solution is quite good. We have approximately 40 employees who use it at our company.

The technical support is good and responsive. I would rate them as a ten out of ten.

Trend Micro Email Security may not be the cheapest option, but the investment is worthwhile for enhanced security.

Trend Micro Email Security uses AI, along with its XDR solution, to enhance email protection. By accessing intelligence and analyzing attacks, it enables faster investigation and response to security threats, helping to identify vulnerabilities and take proactive measures.

Overall, I would rate Trend Micro Email Security as a ten out of ten.

We are using Trend Micro Email Security for overall email security from threats, such as anti-phishing, anti-spam, and fraud prevention.

Our organization's protection has been improved thanks to Trend Micro Email Security. Their focus has now expanded to include not only stopping phishing and malware but also enhancing their response to fraud and targeted attacks. They have deepened their expertise in infiltration and provide enterprise-level security, with a centralized posture for added convenience. Additionally, Trend Micro Email Security offers file storage and endpoint security.

The most valuable feature of Trend Micro Email Security is effective phishing prevention.

The patch management could improve in Trend Micro Email Security.

The performance of Trend Micro Email Security is good compared to other solutions.

The support could improve the ground-level support. There are some delays in the support requiring the customers to have partners for assistance.

I have used Check Point Email Security and it was good. We were able to apply the agents needed easily.

Comparing Check Point Email Security and Trend Micro Email Security, Trend Micro is a more well know company and endpoint security. Check Point is new to email security. Trend Micro Email Security has more phishing and malicious detection prevention capabilities than Check Point Email Security.

The solution was deployed in-house.

The price of Trend Micro Email Security is more than Sophos' similar solution.

I rate the price of Trend Micro Email Security an eight out of ten.

I would recommend others try Trend Micro Email Security, as without doing a POC, you may not be able to access certain features, despite a lot of existing material being available online. However, experiencing something practically can make a significant difference in understanding and using Trend Micro, as it can alter the user's mindset.

I rate Trend Micro Email Security a ten out of ten.

Deploying and integrating it is very simple, and even users with minimal experience with the software can easily manage it. They can start using and getting familiar with the tool within a week, allowing them to train and become comfortable with it.

We are using the product for email security and email protection.

I like the solution’s dashboard. We can manage the configuration and everything else from the dashboard.

The product must provide better customization features.

I have been using the solution for one year. I am using the latest version of the solution.

The technical support is good.

We are also working with FortiGate, Check Point, and Palo Alto.

The initial setup is not difficult. The solution is deployed on the cloud. The product can be deployed in a couple of minutes.

We need some agent to install the solution in the endpoint security. In security, we must open services on the firewall and communicate with the local exchange. Then, we need to whitelist a couple of URLs and IP addresses. We also provide support maintenance to our customers. We have a dedicated team of five people for cyber security and six people in the firewall and network team. Nine of these people are engineers.

The tool must improve its pricing.

I have a background in network and firewall security. We provide devices according to our customers’ needs. There are multiple system integration companies available in Bahrain. I would recommend the solution to others. Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

We use the solution for email protection. 

Trend Micro Email Security is a robust solution with quick performance. It works autonomously without the need for an administrator. 

The tool's dashboard is old. 

I have been working with the product for more than 10 years.

Trend Micro Email Security's deployment is straightforward. It can be done in a few hours. We have three resources to help with the maintenance.

Trend Micro has inter-domain security features that solutions from other vendors like Forcepoint lack.

I rate Trend Micro support four out of 10. The support in our region isn't very good. They do not respond quickly when we open up a case.

Implementing Trend Micro is straightforward. We have a hybrid deployment. The cloud-based version is plug-and-play. The on-prem component is a bit more difficult, but it's manageable. 

Trend Micro is considerably more expensive than other solutions.

This solution is used for email security like spam filtering, spam protection from spam fishing, and protection from fraudulent content.

The solution can be on-prem or on cloud. We implement it as a cloud solution.

There is a limitation when customers are using their email from a third-party solution that isn't from Trend Micro.

It's stable.

It's cloud-built, so it's scalable.

There is a local team, and they're responsive. I would rate them 4 out of 5.

Trend Micro Email Security has a feature for secure protection of OneDrive, Google Drive, and CloudApp security. With Barracuda, these features are not available for protection of OneDrive or Google Drive.

It's not easy, but it's not very difficult.

I would rate the setup for implementation 4 out of 5.

Everything is hosted on the Trend Micro Cloud. They provide an agent, and the agent installs the solution on the user's PC. There is no hardware required for implementation.

The cost is about $6,000 for 300 users for one year. Compared to Barracuda, it's not expensive.
