What is most valuable?

The stability of the solution is the most important thing. I've used Teams previously and we had a lot of issues with stability.

I've been using this solution for two years.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It's quite scalable, we've had large numbers on WebEx conferences.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We previously used MyMeeting which is more of a boardroom hosted environment where you can connect boardroom Polycom devices to a virtual cloud meeting room.

What other advice do I have?

I recommend this product and rate it eight out of 10.

Easy to use virtual meeting platform with a straightforward installation, but needs improvement performance-wise
Pros and Cons
  • "Easy to use virtual meeting solution. Installation was straightforward without the need for a technical team."
  • "Performance of this platform needs improvement. There was a stability issue, particularly glitches that kept it from running smoothly."

What is our primary use case?

We use Webex for virtual meetings.

We are using Microsoft Teams for the whole organization, e.g. everybody uses Teams, but we have a Webex license because we are running a Cisco Telephony solution.

We decided to integrate Cisco telephony with Webex, particularly for our meetings in the boardroom, so we bought Webex licenses so that if we wanted to connect from our boardroom, we can use Webex.

What is most valuable?

What we like about Webex is that it's easy to use, and it's easy to set meetings and connect to meetings on this solution.

What needs improvement?

This platform has a lot of performance problems and challenges, particularly with the connection. Connecting is as easy as clicking on a link, but if you connect with so many people, Webex doesn't perform well. It doesn't run smoothly. It requires stable internet connection.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Webex since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, so almost two years now.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Webex is not as stable, especially when compared to Microsoft Teams. Webex can have a lot of glitches, and does not run as smoothly as Teams.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Webex is a scalable solution.

How was the initial setup?

The installation of Webex was straightforward. It's a web-based solution, so you just have to log in to the Webex site, then you connect. You can do the installation yourself, without the need for a technical team.

What about the implementation team?

I installed the tool myself. There was no need for a technical team.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I'm on a yearly subscription of Webex.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Microsoft Teams.

What other advice do I have?

Webex is on a cloud deployment model.

We don't have many users of this tool in our company. We have less than 10 users of it, and we don't intend to increase the number of users, because we are using Microsoft Teams more. We only use Webex when we want to integrate with our Cisco telephone solution from the boardroom.

I was able to log a case with a Cisco tech before, and he was responsive, e.g. within 24 hours for my Cisco devices, but not necessarily for Webex.

I'm giving Webex a score of seven out of ten.

Multifeatured virtual meeting and video communication software; runs smoothly and does not cause lag
Pros and Cons
  • "Lag-free video communication and virtual meeting software which runs smoothly."
  • "There's some difficulty in Webex, particularly when a third party needs access and that third party is not part of the domain of the company, it could be difficult."

What is our primary use case?

I use Webex for meetings. It's useful in virtual meetings. It's a video communication tool.

What is most valuable?

I find Webex to be a good solution. You can share your screen, you can grant control to other meeting participants, you can record, etc. It's okay to use because it does not cause lag, and the video runs smoothly. I'm happy using Webex.

What needs improvement?

I don't have any complaints about Webex. I'm also using Microsoft Teams and they are the same, but there's some difficulty in Webex, particularly when a third party needs access and that third party is not part of the domain of the company, it could be difficult.

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Webex for three years. We're using it in the company I work for.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Webex is stable here in Thailand. I have not experienced a frozen screen or interruption when I'm having my meeting on Webex.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability of Webex is okay. The biggest meeting I had was with 50 participants, but sometimes, we need to place some of the participants on mute.

How are customer service and support?

There is no issue with Webex technical support, but there's a support issue in the reseller side. From my company's reseller to our customers, there are many Webex cases, but technical support is okay in terms of troubleshooting open cases.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay a yearly license for Webex.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I evaluated Microsoft Teams.

What other advice do I have?

In my company, we use Webex and Microsoft Teams.

There are between 5,000 to 10,000 users of Webex in the company. I'm one of the end users of this solution. 10 people make up the technical team that handles the deployment and maintenance of Webex in my company.

On a scale of zero to ten, with ten being the highest, and zero being the worst, I'm giving this solution a score of nine, and I'm recommending it to others who want to start using it, because Webex is okay in my experience.

I'd say that in zero to ten, I'm recommend in the eight or nine. I think it's okay in my experience, yes.

I'm rating Webex a nine out of ten.

Good tech support and easy installation
Pros and Cons
  • "I am completely satisfied with the tech support."
  • "The solution should have better integration with Microsoft."

What is our primary use case?

I do not know which version we are using, although I believe it to be the latest one.

What needs improvement?

The solution should have better integration with Microsoft.

For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using Webex for several years.

How are customer service and support?

I am completely satisfied with the tech support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We did not try another solution prior to Webex.

How was the initial setup?

The installation is straightforward and easy.

It took around a half-an-hour.

What about the implementation team?

The installation can be done on one's own.

Two engineers are required for the deployment and maintenance.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I believe the license to be monthly.

What other advice do I have?

There are around 350 people using the solution in our organization.

I would recommend it to others.

My advice is that people make use of the cloud-based solution, as oposed to the on-premises one. It is easy and very good.

I would rate Webex as a nine out of ten.

Other services such as email, audio conferencing and twitter are very useful for communicating in other important ways, WebEx is the corporate gold standard for what it does best, that is easy, reliable sharing of content on my screen to one or several hundred people in real time.

Good platform for internal chat and ad hoc meetings
Pros and Cons
  • "One of the most valuable features of WebEx is that it's very quick for ad hoc meetings, and I use it all day, every day, for internal chat with my team. It's just a good platform."
  • "The performance of WebEx could be improved. If you're using it on a mobile device and on the laptop, you sometimes get glitches, where you've answered the call or joined a meeting on a laptop and your mobile device doesn't quite know what's going on. It may just be technical glitches, but it seems to be a bit shaky sometimes on mobile devices."

What is our primary use case?

We primarily use WebEx as our internal chat platform, as well as ad hoc meetings and client meetings.

This solution is cloud-based, so we are always using the latest version.

What is most valuable?

One of the most valuable features of WebEx is that it's very quick for ad hoc meetings, and I use it all day, every day, for internal chat with my team. It's just a good platform.

What needs improvement?

The performance of WebEx could be improved. If you're using it on a mobile device and on the laptop, you sometimes get glitches, where you've answered the call or joined a meeting on a laptop and your mobile device doesn't quite know what's going on. It may just be technical glitches, but it seems to be a bit shaky sometimes on mobile devices.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using WebEx for about a year or so.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability seemed fine, for our use.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The scalability is fine.

There are probably about 50-60 of us using it internally and, to a degree, with some of our external clients and consultants.

How are customer service and support?

I have never personally contacted technical support, but my team has.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We also use Teams and Zoom. WebEx is a bit clunky for lots of external meetings, so we also use Teams because a lot of our clients have it. Teams also has IMing, but WebEx is sort of defaulted as our major platform, internally.

How was the initial setup?

The installation is very straightforward. I can do it myself, and it took a couple of minutes. You don't need a technical team.

What about the implementation team?

I implemented this solution myself.

What other advice do I have?

I rate WebEx a nine out of ten. It's a pretty good platform and it does what you expect from it.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
