"The initial setup is very straightforward."
"A full-featured option for managing virtual machines with an instant recovery feature."
"The solution is meeting all of our client's requirements. It has good performance."
"I like working on the Azure platform."
"The installation of Veeam Agent is straightforward."
"This is a good product with a simple environment."
"The most valuable features are backup and restore. This solution is also easy to use."
"The solution is very affordable for small businesses."
"For most use cases, the failover time is a handful of minutes, if that. A single user can run the system."
"The ease of use and simplicity in moving things without having to do a cross-v set of V-motions has been most valuable. It saves time and effort and it eliminates mistakes."
"The most valuable features are the single pane of glass and the reduction in time it takes for our systems engineering team to manage the platform."
"The journaling is the most valuable aspect of the solution."
"The second feature that sold us was the sub-second RPO. One of the things that made Zerto's product stand out from some of the more traditional solutions four years ago was its ability to maintain sub-second RPO over a group of machines, and that group of machines could be spread over multiple storage hardware."
"It is cost-effective and stable. It protects virtual machines, and there is a fast recovery time."
"Failing over the VM without removing/touching the production VM from inventory is also an important feature."
"The replication being log-based is awesome."
"We backup a lot of information in a 24-hour period. It works fine. But there's always room for improvement on that."
"I would like to see the ability for incremental backups and reverse backups."
"It fulfills our needs in terms of features. In terms of improvements, they can maybe improve its documentation."
"I would like to have more flexibility in terms of reporting details about the backup."
"I've found a lot of difficulties on the initial setup and especially in terms of credentials. We really need a Window OS. It doesn't like the domain admin account. it's a primary permission issue."
"I would like to have a more automated installation process."
"A feature I would like to see is universal restore. At the moment, restoration can only be smooth on the same hardware. Let's say you have a server and you back it up with Veeam Agent, in case it fails or crashes. If you later buy a new server because the same one isn't available on the market anymore, there's a high chance that Windows will not boot up if you restore from the Veeam backup because the hardware is now different. Acronis has the universal restore feature, so it will work with generic drivers and you can restore Windows in any dissimilar hardware. As far as I know, Veeam doesn't have this feature yet."
"Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows should improve by having more features, easier deployment, and compatibility with Unix boxes."
"I am not very impressed by the technical support I received when I had an issue."
"It would be nice to have the option to do automatic failover, but right now the only option is manual."
"It is expensive."
"The number one thing we have found we would like changed so far is the cost per VM. It would be great to get that pricing reduced."
"There is a need to allow the source vCenter Inventory to be imported with a single click."
"Analytics has a 90-day window, where it keeps data. It would be nice to have on-prem storage instead of cloud storage for that so we can keep the data for longer. Unless you discover the problem within three months, you don't know that you need the data. Then, it is gone by the time you realize there is an issue."
"There's one feature that SRM had that Zerto doesn't have, and it's one that we've been asking for. With the orchestration part of the failover, with our DR and our primary sites, the IP addresses are almost identical. The only difference is one octet. With SRM, we could say during a failover change. With Zerto, we keep hearing that it's coming, but we haven't received it yet. It's a feature that would be very beneficial. It would reduce the time a little bit more."
"In future releases, doing backups of the environment we need to be able to do hot backups of the database."
"They could iron out the licensing aspect of it, so we might be a bit quicker when implementing and starting to use it."
