AppNeta by Broadcom Scalability
It's scalable. In terms of its usage, we use AppNeta exclusively for end-to-end network and app visibility across managed and unmanaged networks. We have looked at other products in the past, but AppNeta is still the one we typically use as our first choice. We do use some other products specifically for troubleshooting rather than long-term continuous monitoring, but 99% of what we do uses AppNeta only. For only 1%, we use a couple of other products.

It is multi-tenant. So, it scales well, and that was the nice thing about it. The other part of the business using it is just in a different tenant configured under the same organization.
Currently, it is in the end-user environment. We have an AppNeta appliance, which is deployed in an end-user segment at every office. There are about 20 to 25 locations, and it is used primarily by the IT group. We do have plans to increase its usage.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. I rate the scalability a six for what I plan on using the tool, but it depends since I have to work with the support group to give an exact rating.

It is very scalable. You can increase it to N monitoring points and N applications being monitored. It is highly scalable.
View full review »Its scalability is going to be up to customers to choose. It certainly can become very effective or it certainly is very effective, but I believe as you really start to grow your deployments, it does become quite expensive.
As an educated customer, you are always looking for that point on the curve where you keep adding up the scale and scaling your deployment up without simultaneously building out your need to keep a conceptual awareness and management of yourself and your costs in line.
If you are not careful, you will very easily and very quickly probably have a deployment that is quite large, probably a little bit unwieldy and certainly very extensive very quickly.
View full review »Yes. You can throw as many licenses as you want on an appliance and it will not stop you from oversubscribing it with other services. You have to be careful how you balance what services are on which appliance and how many or else it will miss data.
