How has it helped my organization?

We are introducing 10.1 in our dev environment and then prod down the road. APM is a new culture here so we are working with customers in getting them introduced to the… more»

What needs improvement?

User Experience is a BIG one. Integration of all of APM components into one swift deployment. Can't emphasis the above two more.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

If you can get a SME to architect and install then definitely go that route vs the vendor itself. There are upside to having the vendor due to the fact that they have… more»

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

There was no application performance management solution prior to the introduction of CA APM. Thus, we are still in infancy from a culture perspective. Customers are still… more»

What other advice do I have?

It’s a great product and provides a lot of in-depth data. Focus and leverage this product as a deep dive one and have another layer above it (another high-level view… more»

What is most valuable?

CA Harvest has been one of our primary version control tools. It has helped us map all of our applications into a version control environment, where we are able to map them, and help the code… more»

How has it helped my organization?

What other advice do I have?

The auditing capability is one aspect that I would really recommend other colleagues to look into, because all the other version control tools out in the market provide speed, but the auditing… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We had other vendors which we were looking at, but one advantage is that CA came to us with a solution rather than the tool. The solution helped us understand that the tool would be a good benefit for… more»

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are the end-user experience and transaction monitoring.

How has it helped my organization?

It has improved our transaction monitoring significantly.

What needs improvement?

The installation could be improved. Also, they need to concentrate more on the cloud for cloud monitoring.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used HPE Diagnostics earlier. But since the client already had an existing license of CA APM, he wanted to leverage the existing toolset rather than going for new tools.

What other advice do I have?

Definitely a good product, worth going for. Since I first reviewed the product here, about two years ago, I would currently not change my rating of eight out of ten. CA APM hasn't changed much in that… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Dynatrace and HPE Diagnostics.
