We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The clean interface, prioritization, and private task lists aren't present in other solutions.""I love this software because this software helps me to increase team productivity day-by-day.""It is perhaps the most user-friendly web forms automation software. At least, I did not find anything better while testing several others similar to it.""The workflow tracker helps us to track our staff's workflow. It helps us to improve the productivity of our team.""It provides a scalable solution that should allow me to grow my company without too much fuss or further set up required.""Customize workflow processes visually and interactively.""Low code development.""This solution can be useful for tracking the different stages of projects and the people working on them."

"I like the feature of getting an email for a workflow error, then I do not have to go through every instance.""It's easy to learn. However, there is very little content available for the Nintex also, but they are providing their own documentation and all. So, it's easy to learn also.""The most valuable features of this solution are that it's no code, it's very flexible, and it's easy to design.""The SharePoint feature is a really good connection, there are many features that are good.""Valuable features include workflows (escalation, reminder, LazyApproval, actions, etc.) and ease of use.""It's easy to configure your set of rules to make the form controls work perfectly, removing manual work and making processes seamless.""It leverages the out-of-the-box SharePoint back-end. This means that you don’t need to install or deploy additional infrastructure to support Nintex Workflow, unlike some of its competitors.""The workflow engine of K2 is its main strength. Its workflow engine is probably one of the best, and that's the reason why Nintex bought K2. It can clearly handle any complex process or scenario. K2 is almost low-code. It is a no-code or low-code solution. You don't have to read a whole lot of code. It is pretty much GUI based. Their support is also excellent. The biggest advantage of K2 is SmartObjects, which allow you to separate the data from the application. It is a standalone application that allows you to build a data source from different places, which a lot of other applications also do. It is called SmartObjects technology, which is pretty powerful. If I have data from different applications, such as JD and ServiceNow, I can just create a SmartObject based on a data source and use it. I have some forms that have six, seven, or eight applications in a single form with data from different places."

Cons
"The OpenAPI is good, but it is not enough. It lacks out-of-box integrations with popular web services.""I would like them to offer a one-time payment plan that one can choose.""The initial setup seemed a bit complex, and there is no great documentation.""If your organization has only a few team members then this tool is not suitable.""The UX/UI could be reviewed and revamped to meet new the criteria of Digitalization and Innovation.""Figuring out how to integrate defined teams or groups into this system is difficult, and there are no contextual menus.""It would be wonderful to have newer version releases more frequently, but it is quite a minor con.""This solution lacks API integration with some popular websites."

"We cannot use the same solution on cloud.""The solution does not integrate with many platforms.""There have been some glitches, and the workflow fails frequently.""We would like to have access to an on-premises solution. In our country, we have a relationship with Central Bank of Egypt, which do noes not allow cloud solutions to be used. They should offer an on-prem solution with a flexible price license.""It's very tedious to manage.""Unfortunately, Nintex Workflow is not that stable. We are looking at shifting to another tool.""The Workflow Designer needs improvement.""The tool lacks to offer support for the Arabic language, and it needs consideration."

Pricing and Cost Advice

  • "The price is so reasonable."
  • "I benefit from this software by getting a variety of reporting options and features for a relatively low cost"

  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."
