Pros
"We can manage the entire system across the network and troubleshoot the pain points."

"There are many valuable features in this product, but probably the biggest is the customization capability it has.""Wire data analytics.""The most valuable feature is the way it handles data, from Layer 2 up to Layer 7. We can see everything that happens in the network.""This solution is more applications reference architecture focused. Its benefit is that it specializes in that space.""Not only can you look at the protocol import level. It also has a live PCAP analysis.""The most valuable features are security detections, perimeter detection, dashboards, and alerts."

"It's given us the ability to create various real-time network performance reports and distribute them to any colleague who can access these reports immediately.""The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well.""The monitoring of the network is very customizable. That is its unique feature.""I like the tool’s scalability and real-time reports. Earlier, we struggled to give real-time reports to clients. I also like the tool’s deployment model where we can deploy it either on-premises or in-house. We don’t have to carry the data all over the globe. Also, I am impressed with the tool's flow reporting and Wi-Fi.""One of the most valuable features is the graphs, which you can build instantly. I have used some open-source platforms in the past, but they are not as good. With SevOne, the sampling in the graph can be every few seconds, not just every few minutes, and that's really helpful. It's really fast.""The SMP and the xStats, which is for flat file integration, are both useful for integrating the various metrics that the device provides to monitor the performance of those systems.""One of the solution's biggest strengths is its capacity management performance, with out-of-the-box reports through NMS, as well as its ability to collect NetFlow-related data from devices. The collection of network performance and flow data is important because we have many critical business applications.""The feature that I have found most valuable is the scale-up and scale-down. The scale-up is an operation where the CPU boosts-up and then the memory will boost-up. That works awesomely."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"We'd like to see a local presence within the region in order to have seamless service whether it's the support, the implementation, or professional services.""Network visibility is something that needs to be improved.""They either have to go broad or decide what their bread and butter is and get really good at that.""I would improve the Rule-Based Access Control (RBAC) by providing granular access control to the data.""They have a new solution, ExtraHop Reveal(x), and I think it needs improvement.""This solution would be improved if it had the ability to retain data longer."

More ExtraHop Reveal(x) for IT Operations Cons →

"The reporting of NMS is good, but it could be better.""Telemetry is hot these days, and IBM can improve SevOne's support for telemetry correction. Reporting is another feature that could be better. It provides the bare minimum functionality, which is good enough for most engineers, but the management isn't advanced. The new portal provides a much lighter view and better visualization, but the management is not so good.""The one area with room for improvement is probably administration. They added data insights to make a better user experience, but I'd like to see some improvements in the way the system's administered.""In terms of having a complete view of our network performance, I would rate it a nine out of 10. The reason for not giving it a 10 is that there is no packet capture associated with SevOne, but we do have other tools in place to do that.""I would like to see live maps as an added feature. Also, build modules on AI and EML to provide better data insights that would proactively tell us what we should be looking after.""The GUI: both the dashboard/user view and the admin tool.""Some similar solutions offer end-to-end visibility.""High-frequency polling is data-intensive because you're pulling more. If SevOne could figure out a way to manage the impact of high-frequency polling on the system, that would be very popular."
