We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Fortinet FortiEDR's scalability is quite good, and you can add licenses to the solution.""The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other.""Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR.""he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features.""The product's initial setup phase is very easy.""The setup is pretty simple.""Fortinet FortiEDR's firewalling, rule creation, monitoring, and inspection profiles are great.""Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance."

"I like the centralized management with the web dashboard.""The visibility and, obviously, the protection aspects are second to none when it comes to speed. Another thing we fall back on is the option to roll back an endpoint if it is infected. There is a shadow copy so that if a PC downloads malicious content, we can roll it back to the state it was in before that package was imported.""The tool's most valuable feature is EDR.""The solution is both stable and scalable.""It is easy to collect and retain logs with SentinelOne.""It is easy to manage and install. It has a very nice graphical interface that is very intuitive when end users are using it. You don't have to follow or read a book about 600 pages to have knowledge on how to use it. When SentinelOne is up and running, you can easily find your way.""The most valuable features of SentinelOne are the endpoint detection of threats, and it does not only rely on signatures for detection.""I have been a Mac guy for twenty years, and the feature parity and the capabilities of a Macintosh agent are unparalleled in the industry. It is the first anti-malware and antivirus that does not make you feel that you bought the wrong processor. It is really good and lightweight."

"The independent modules are very good.""MVISION Endpoint is so much easier and so much simpler for the lay security personnel to handle.""It's good that it periodically scans all my drives. I can stay up to date with the status of my drivers and update them if needed.""The exploit guard and malware protection features are very useful. The logon tracker feature is also very useful. They have also given new modules such as logout backup, process backup. We ordered these modules from the FireEye market place, and we have installed these modules. We are currently exploring these features.""It is scalable and stable and the initial setup is the easiest part of using the product.""The most valuable feature is the integration between environments.""I have not received any complaints about the performance.""The most valuable network security feature is the network sandbox solution. This sandbox feature works on traffic flow."

Cons
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR.""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting.""ZTNA can improve latency.""Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components.""There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors.""The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"Since SentinelOne Hologram was an Attivo Networks product acquired by Microsoft, I have to install a different agent on endpoints for that product. It would be better if the same SentinelOne agent could be used for both the EDR and deception technology.""The solution can improve by adding more granular firewall capabilities.""The agent update is not the most intuitive process, but I understand why they do it. We have a pretty vertical 64-bit environment for Windows. That is pretty much all we have, but we get alerts for things like the new Linux endpoint or things that do not apply to us. That is probably the only thing that I do not like. There may be some way to turn that off so that I do not get endpoint update alerts from platforms that are not applicable to our system, enterprise, or network.""SentinelOne could improve by reducing the price.""I rate Singularity Complete a seven out of ten for affordability. It's more expensive than our previous solution, but it does its job well. At the same time, there is some room for improvement. Cheaper is always better.""SentinelOne is making a lot of moves to acquire various companies, but the roadmap isn't clear, and it is still uncertain how the new acquisitions will integrate. For example, SentinelOne recently acquired a mobile security solution, but there is no real integration between the platforms.""I would like to see the reports from SentinelOne more customizable, as there are very few options.""The previous vendor had a lot more features and capabilities under the license. For example, I lost DLP as Sentinel One does not have DLP."

More SentinelOne Singularity Complete Cons →

"The Linux support is very poor. I use base detection. Currently, they are providing malware protection and logon track features in Windows and Mac. These features aren't available in Linux. It will be helpful to extend these capabilities to Linux. We would also like assets grouping and device lock protection features, which are included in their roadmap.""It has very good integrations. However, its integration with Palo Alto was not good, and they seem to be working on it at the backend. It is not very resource-hungry, but it can be even better in terms of resource utilization. It could be improved in terms of efficiency, memory sizing, and disk consumption by agents.""Endpoint resource utilization causes high levels of instability and that is something that needs improvement.""Sometimes, one might face issues with the scalability of the product. The aforementioned area can be considered for improvement.""I would like to see more automation.""They could also increase or improve the scalability because to my knowledge the biggest bandwidth can only support up to 10 gigs of input.""The product’s on-premise version is costly in terms of extra charges for SQL database and Windows server licenses.""The solution lacks device control."

  • "The price for it is very competitive compared to other Next Gen EPP."
  • "The per-seat cost is low, but you have to commit to a certain number of licenses for a year."

  • "Our licensing fees are about $5 USD per endpoint, per month."
  • "USD$6 per end point which decreases as end points increase."
  • "Pricing is a bit of a pain point. That's where we have not been able to convince all of our customers to use SentinelOne. The pricing is still on the higher side. It's almost double the price, if not more, of a normal antivirus, such as NOD32, Kaspersky, or Symantec."
  • More SentinelOne Singularity Complete Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "The current pricing is much better than before because they now offer product-related promotions along with some changes in product licensing. The new pricing model is better than before."

  • "MVISION is intended as an enterprise product and it is priced like one. This solution is within the price range of competitors at the enterprise level."

It's a flexible license where you have the option to either use the McAfee security software or the Windows Defender managed by McAfee, which is MVISION Endpoint."
  • "It is based on an annual subscription."
  • "It was an annual fee. There was just one overall fee."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
