We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Configuration profiles, remediation, scripts, and auto-pilot features are very good.""The initial setup is not overly complex or difficult.""The most valuable includes managing everything from a single console.""It is user-friendly, and the performance is also good. It is a convenient product""It has a useful device management feature.""It provides control over all mobile devices that are being connected to the corporate network.""It is quite policy-enabled, so you can build pretty much any policy to manage remote endpoints.""The biggest thing for us is enforcing logins only from devices that are managed by Intune."

"The most valuable features of MobileIron UEM are tunneling and enterprise integration.""It's effective in what it is able to achieve and it's easy to use.""The company provides great customer service.""The most valuable feature is that everything is in one place, which makes it easy to manage.""The user interface is user-friendly."

"Matrix42 Enterprise Mobility Management offers on-premises deployment.""The most valuable feature of this solution is the ability to assign a package to a user on a system If you have your software packages set up via SCCM. It automates the process, which is very convenient, especially since most of our people are remote. Additionally, the overall functionality is good."

Cons
"Microsoft Intune needs to improve the initial login process.""The policies we had in SCCM and AD offered features that are missing from Microsoft Intune.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script.""It's the granularity: 'Is your firewall on? Is BitLocker on?' It's not amazing granularity. But I've looked into other products, like Duo, and they're all similar.""The reports aren't complete, and it's not easy to build custom reports. For example, Windows Autopilot isn't working well in cases where the computers don't have a good internet connection. Then the option is not good enough.""There's quite a lot of development that they can do within their Intune dashboard. I think there are too many lines hyperlinked to move you around. Others, in contrast, give you a simple dashboard and an intuitive administrative walkthrough.""It would be great if Intune offered better data protection controls for BYOD Windows PCs.""Areas for improvement in Intune include expanding support beyond Samsung devices to accommodate other Android manufacturers like Redmi and Motorola."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"The integration between the MobileIron and Advanced Neurons isn't completely in sync, and we're still working on that.""The interface is complicated and not very easy to use.""We would like the initial setup to be simpler.""UI needs an upgrade, feels very outdated.""MobileIron UEM could improve the monitoring of devices."

More Ivanti Neurons for MDM Cons →

"In terms of integration, there is still room for improvement in Matrix42.""Matrix42 Enterprise Mobility Management could improve the user interface, it is not very intuitive."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
