We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable feature that we use is the Knowledge Modules.""All ETL code is stored in repositories in underlying database schemas. The number of users can access and work on the same solution using a client tool. So distributed teams can work on this tool in an efficient manner.""The scalability is great. It's one of the reasons we chose the solution."

The database and the connection are quite smooth.""The user interface is ok.""It is a powerful product with a broad range of features.""The HANA database, which is very fast, is a valuable feature.""The reporting on the data, even from third-party software, is very good.""The maintenance of data services is the solution's most valuable feature.""The most valuable feature is the logging capability."

Cons
"The performance of the user interface is in need of improvement.""There are certain things where it can be improved. Initial solution setup seems a bit complex at the start, it should be improved because it becomes bit tough for a novice to get started on this. Sometimes error description is not helpful to understand the problem it gives some generic type of errors which are at times not that helpful to understand the underlying root cause of the issue.""The resource management aspect of the solution could be improved."

"Scheduling of jobs in the sequence is not available. It's a very tedious process to do that particular task. If there was a tool to schedule in the sequence that would be extremely helpful.""The description of error messages isn't extensive, although they point to the problem. With other solutions, like Talend, I was able to use the debugger to get directly to the problem, but with SAP Data Services the debugger is not working. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the version specifically, but I'm using it in an enterprise environment and I can't do an upgrade.""The initial setup is complex.""Newer feature integration is lagging behind the company acquisitions and the product could do more to service a broader range of devices.""Integration with other products could be improved.""The solution should offer more machine learning and automation.""The pricing of the solution should be improved.""The interface is not quite user-friendly and is in need of improvement."
