We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable feature for us is the DNS-based protection.""It analyzes the domain security helps us implement the securest policy.""The weekly reportings are great. The investigation is super and the application management is equally great.""It's very stable, reliable and does its job.""What we like most is security and how easy it is to integrate with other appliances.""Provides dependable DNS monitoring of external devices.""The initial setup is very easy and takes only a few minutes.""Helps block personal email accounts."

"The most valuable feature is the zero-trust part of this solution.""The most valuable feature is the ability to join your network and provide access through the VPN.""It's great that we can make sure a machine meets the minimum requirements before users are allowed to log in.""The users can securely access any cloud data centers or cloud platforms. In terms of the features, it has all the features that Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewall has. It is also very stable and scalable.""The scalability of the solution is excellent.""There are plenty of features this solution provides and the most valuable would be the complete security protection we are receiving. We are provided with similar security that the Palo Alto AWS solution has. This includes features such as a firewall and machine learning AI.""It's much faster and more secure than legacy solutions. It is also quite stable and scalable as well. We are able to see all the traffic in one place."

"The most valuable feature for one of our customers is the ability to stage cloud workloads from the local network.""The most valuable feature is the Dynamic Multipath Optimization (DMPO), which allows the customer to maintain and monitor their link quality in real-time.""Proactively detects where problems might arise.""The most valuable feature is load balancing.""They make use of a combination of different internet lines, which improves quality.""The most valuable feature is the dynamic multipath optimization.""The biggest feature is called D.M.P.O., or Dynamic Multipath Optimization, which is one of the technologies that they use to deliver or ensure data integrity.""They have a lot of built-ins. There are so many applications defined inside the solution. It makes it so that we don't have to create some policies. Each and every application is already defined in it."

Cons
"This solution does not give us full, 360-degree protection.""I would like to see integration with SecurNX in the future.""The reporting could be improved by way of the information that's displayed. For example, when you pull a report, it shows an internal employee going to many websites, but you can spin that right down by saying a lot of it is being cached.""It has happened in the past that Cisco Umbrella has denied us access to secure websites.""In the next release, I would like to see the integration of VDI NSX with Cisco Umbrella.""They need to improve analytics so they report on more of the specifics of user activity.""Missing a real data leakage prevention solution.""Data reporting could be improved."

More Cisco Umbrella Cons »

"The cloud setup is straightforward, and the onboarding process is much better, but the on-premises initial setup is slightly complex.""Better integration with the MDM solution would be useful.""The solution needs to be more compatible with other solutions. This is specifically a problem for us when it comes to healthcare applications. They have proprietary connection types and things of that nature that make compatibility a challenge sometimes.""When it comes to the VPN, it uses the global protect VPN functionality to connect remotely, but it has a feature limitation for assigning multiple IP sub-links to different user groups. It would be much better if we are able to assign the current IP blocks for the sub-links based on the user groups.""There is some particular traffic that the security team wants to filter out and apply their own policies and they cannot.""There can be some latency issues with the solution that should be improved.""It would be nice to manage Prisma Access through the cloud instead of through Panorama. You can use the cloud version to monitor Prisma Access, but it doesn't have all the features yet, and it's not 100% done."

More Prisma Access by Palo Alto Networks Cons »

"Technical support is in need of improvement.""VeloCloud needs improvement in terms of its security features.""Reports could be simplified.""The cost of VeloCloud could be lowered.""There is room for improvement with respect to security.""There is no security included, which is something that should be improved.""They need more gateways""The solution doesn't offer failover between their own devices. If I want to, I should be able to put the two devices at the side, so there can be a failover."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"I am not sure, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I think it's $1.00 or so per device/month.""Cisco uses subscription models for the pricing and there are three subscription plans.""The licensing part for Umbrella is really flexible.""There are three models for licensing with different feature sets.""I think it's worth the money.""The price of Cisco Umbrella is a little higher than similar solutions, like Gateway.""The price should be slightly lower than the current price because if you look at the whole solution, it is simply a threat intelligence solution to block blacklisted things. The price should be lower looking at the features provided by the solution. The price isn't too high either, but it could be lower.""There is a subscription cost."

More Cisco Umbrella Pricing and Cost Advice »

"This is not an expensive product and everything is included with one license.""Prisma Access is a little bit expensive.""The solution requires a license and the technical support has extra costs. The licensing model could improve.""The price has been good for the ROI during these difficult times for the cruise industry. There are no hidden costs; what the product offers is what you get."

More Prisma Access by Palo Alto Networks Pricing and Cost Advice »

"VeloCloud performs as well as the Cisco SD-WAN but it is cheaper in price.""The price of this solution is higher than that of other SD-WAN vendors.""The price of this solution should be lower.""The pricing is very comparable to Fortinet.""The price is reasonable for this solution, but the only challenge for us is that the Rand currency fluctuates to the dollar and provides some complexities. The price might go up just because the Rand has actually lost value.""The cost of VMware SD-WAN is high, but I think you can still get better pricing if your volume is high.""The price of the solution could be reduced.""My understanding is that the pricing is in the same range as other solutions."

The services provided by OpenDNS increase the speed of navigating websites and prevent unintended access to phishing and malware sites as well as to any Web content that you configure to be restricted.

Prisma Access provides protection straight from the cloud to make access to the cloud secure. It combines the connectivity and security you need – and delivers it everywhere you need it.

Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) is the application of softwarebased network technologies that virtualize WAN connections to provide agility,
performance and reliability for network traffic between remote and branch offices to
data centers and the cloud.

SD-WAN leverages cloud-hosting to simplify deployment and management of
network devices and employs traffic steering to applications in the data center and
the cloud. It combines the bandwidth of broadband with existing WAN connections to
more efficiently and cost-effectively connect users to data center and cloud-based
applications from any location in the network.

SD-WAN optimizes traffic over multiple available connections (MPLS, broadband,
LTE) to deliver traffic across the network, delivering a better user experience to any
location. SD-WAN will dynamically steer traffic to the best available link, and if the
available links show any transmission issues, it will immediately apply remediation for
jitter and packet loss based on policies to ensure performance of the high-priority
applications.
