We performed a comparison between SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite and Talend Data Management Platform based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about SAP, MuleSoft, IBM and others in Business-to-Business Middleware."SEEBURGER BIS helps us automate processes. When something is manual and we have to fix the data, then it is really complicated. However, when it's automated, we trust it and the process in the system, so we don't have to go back and fix it. For example, we had a problem with a partner sending 17 files every week, but a few times a year, they wouldn't send files during a certain window. We would escalate this with them. Then, when they caught up and sent the files again, they weren't authenticated. We had to fix this situation before it became a nightmare because our financials were impacted. Also, it was really messy. So, I worked with SEEBURGER to have something automated to pick up the files within a certain window and validate them as accurate. If the files come outside of this window, then we have to approve the loading of them."
"SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite is a highly stable solution that offers rich features for our B2B integration."
"It has a lot of basic EDI already established for all the main users. Also, it lets me share setups that I had already set up for my first plant. I was able to use them for my second one which was very helpful. I didn't have to start from scratch for my second facility."
"We haven't had any issues with scaling."
"Another aspect that we employed in the last year-and-a-half has been their CMA platform component, which hooks to the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS) front end. We've been able to set up an automatic testing process for our partners."
"We had a requirement for transferring data to Amazon S3 buckets but we did not have a solution in our shop for large data transfers to Amazon S3. We worked with SEEBURGER and created a framework solution and now, using that solution, we can configure the transfer in an hour or two and enable it to go to existing or new S3 buckets."
"Among the most valuable features are the EDI translator and a lot of the components which enable creating compliance sets. Having something standard out-of-the-box and being able to use that has been a huge benefit for us."
"The stability is world-class. It is as good as any of the other options out there. They have addressed hiccups quickly, professionally, and with an excellent response."
"I like everything about this product, but the biggest thing is the ease of use."
"We can develop our own code if we do not see the functionality we need."
"The most valuable feature is the data loading and scripting language"
"I think Talend is one of the easiest tools for faster implementation compared to other tools."
"The most valuable features of the Talend Data Management Platform are the components."
"The basic tools are easy to pick up and understand."
"They're very competitive in terms of performance, which is a good selling point. It has very rich features. It provides a very rich feature set in the application."
"I like the way that you can use the context variables, and how you can work those context variables to give you values and settings for every development environment, such as PROD, TEST, and DEV."
"The initial setup is not the straightforward. It took couple of months for us to set up."
"There are a lot of service packs during the year. I know that part is the process for updating features, but sometimes it's difficult to update service packs every month."
"API connectivity needs improvement as well as the GUI. The GUI hasn't changed that much in 10 years, but of course, that's already been updated. I would say I'm excited about the screenshots but that's about it."
"I would like there to be a feature that could handle the limited server."
"Difficult in handling large amounts of data, like when the file has more than 100MB in size."
"It's rather difficult to understand, from the application, what's broken and why it doesn't work. We typically need to get support from them directly, and it's usually in a consulting role, to fix issues."
"There might be some improvements they could make to the portal, but they're not anything that stops me from working."
"We wanted to use API. We were told that in 6.52 we could use API management. Later on, we found that API management wasn't that completely integrated into the 6.52 solution, and if you wanted to have the whole API suite you might have to go to 6.7, the latest one."
"Once you get past the basic tools, it gets pretty complicated."
"The solution's memory sometimes bottlenecks and that can be challenging."
"The product must enhance the data quality."
"They lack in memory capacity."
"I think they should drive toward AI and machine learning. They could include a machine-learning algorithm for the deduplication."
"The stability is good, but the performance is slower when I work on a huge amount of data."
"The documentation from version to version could be more accurate."
"Performance and speed could be improved."
