I had previously tried other environments such as Atom or Sublime Text. Lately, Visual Studio Code has become very popular and I used it eventually.

I evaluated other solutions before choosing Microsoft Visual Studio, such as DELFI. I chose Microsoft Visual Studio because it was easier to use and more flexible.

I had evaluated some other options. I chose to go with Microsoft since my organization's technology is based on Microsoft, which is why it is easier to work with Microsoft Visual Studio.

I did evaluate Eclipse IDE.

I have only worked with Visual Studio. 

I evaluated WebStorm, IBM Eclipse, and Angular.

We evaluated Eclipse and also used other tools, but Microsoft Visual Studio is good.

Our company is a Microsoft partner so we only use their solutions. 

Compared to other platforms, this is the best one. I use Python and Anaconda for Python-related things. So, compared to these, I found Visual Studio to be far better as we can install with all the requirements. We can install most of the other things there. 

In this type of solution, application development, there are only a few possibilities. One of them is Microsoft. Another one is Delphi. We chose between just these two solutions. Microsoft was very dominant.
