LiquidPlanner is a platform-independent, online project management system which features ranged estimates to express the uncertainty in project schedules. LiquidPlanner was founded by Charles Seybold and Jason Carlson, both former senior managers of Expedia. The Seattle-based company employs alumni of Microsoft, Expedia, Google, and Intel. Upland Software is the producer of a family of project, portfolio, and work management software products formed in 2013, which offers five different lines of cloud applications developed by companies it acquired. Upland grew out of PowerSteering Software, which itself was founded in 1998. PowerSteering Software was founded in 1998, an outgrowth of an earlier incarnation named Cambridge Interactive, which was founded in 1994.
