We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has helped to consolidate data and report on a single version of the truth.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is it's designed for Oracle. It works well in the Oracle environment and can sit on top of any application.""The visualization is very good.""User-friendly look and feel.""Inter Process Communication.""It is easy to use...I rate the scalability of the solution a nine out of ten.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is interactive reporting because it allows better analysis versus conventional reporting, especially on the data warehouse side.""The most valuable feature of Oracle OBIEE is its ability to handle large volumes of data and provide traditional BI functionalities that developers can easily understand."

"Easy to analyze data by click-through.""The most valuable feature of QlikView is the integration with other third-party tools.""We use QlikView for its cost-effectiveness and ease of integration with databases.""QlikView is a scalable solution that multiple users can easily use.""The initial setup is not very complex.""The solution is fast.""I had the option to prepare data myself instead of always having to depend on the data team.""Data transforming with scripting, and the associative model that lets users browse data in an easy way, are the most valuable features."

More QlikView Pros →

"Scheduling of reports and dashboards is the most valuable feature of Zoho Analytics.""Zoho Analytics's most valuable feature is the ability to provide excellent analytics through a single platform.""We really like that it's user friendly and has a lot of combinations and charts. They're good compared to other tools. We used a free Elastic product, comparatively, this solution is good because of their support, UI, and connecting to databases is very easy.""The integration interface is very easy to use and allows you to directly connect to a variety of APIs.""Zoho Analytics is the best software for giving reports to customers and we can create any report that is required.""We use the solution for financial and sales analytics. It brings data from our IT incident management tool. Hence, we have three business use cases for IT support, sales and financials.""The most valuable feature of Zoho Analytics is its connectivity with ERP systems and the functionality to set up different fields for leads.""It's a very strong analytics tool."

Cons
"They should make the dashboard more intuitive.""It needs a better security management system.""Oracle OBIEE could improve by having better integration and compatibility with other vendors.""The platform's interface needs improvement.""I would like to see enhancements in tracking, debugging, and flexibility.""Warehouse and business intelligence are two different things, but OBIEE also has some warehouse features in it. I would like to see some of those capabilities improved.""It would be better if it had a wide range of visualization options. For example, Microsoft Power BI has an extensive range of visualization options, but it's not available in OBIEE. There are also some conflicts because it's complicated, but the cloud application is easier. They added some features for ETL with the on-premises application, but we need a different or a separate application for ETL in the cloud. In the next release, I would like to have more AI features.""There are a lot of aspects of Oracle OBIEE that are exceptionally complicated, make things unnecessarily difficult for everyone who uses it. In terms of the integrations, Oracle needs to improve a little more, but I believe that they have tried to capture all those issues. The issues we are facing in the Oracle OBIEE 12C versions, in the Oracle Analytical Server Center or Analytical Cloud versions, Oracle has managed to overcome the challenges."

More Oracle OBIEE Cons →

"The only thing I would improve about it is the fact that it refreshes all the time, and when it does that, it just deletes all the options you had, all the filters that you had selected, so you need to select them from the beginning.""They could improve the speed.""Enhancing user-friendliness would be highly beneficial.""Syntax editor needs some work, it's frustrating to have valid syntax being flagged as incorrect.""There is a lack of static PDF report generation and automatic resizing of the dashboard to fit the device.""It is really old. We are moving towards converting everything into a Power BI environment. We want to have a self-service type of BI environment where different levels of users in organizations can log onto a portal and retrieve the data they need or get the necessary insights for decision-making that's important for them or their business unit. They have built a new version of QlikView called QlikSense, which probably competes with newer BI tools, such as Power BI, but they are far behind. That's why we are moving towards a newer tool that's easier to use and has more visualizations to represent the data.""Sometimes, dealing with complex reports requires more effort, which could be really improved.""There could be a feature to analyze the sales and accounting data of the client."

More QlikView Cons →

"I have a lower rating when it comes to Zoho Analytics. The tool has poor performance. It needs to improve the dimensions and measures.""The hourly pricing needs improvement.""The navigation on the interface is not intuitive.""The solution does not provide call center facilities for customer support.""The support for Zoho Analytics is pathetic.""A higher degree of artificial intelligence could be included in this solution. The data and overall insights could be improved.""The solution's tasks and project management tools are weaker than those of its competitors.""In terms of improvement, they have a limited number of graphs available in their store. They should come up with more graph style forms. They should have more charts and at the same time, you can't create panels like with Microsoft BA."

    Reviews from Real Users

Sandeep V., Process System Engineer at a comms service provider, tells us, “This solution is very easy for people who are building ad-hoc things. It's an enterprise solution so it can be deployed for a lot of users. There are some great new features that come with the 12c like data visualization, desktop BI Publisher, automation, and interactive dashboards. The product has good features. “

A user who is a CEO at a consultancy relates, “The most valuable feature is the visualization. The data warehousing, data storage, and data wrangling are all features that are in there, and it's one of the better products out there. A good thing is that for large datasets, it's very stable, especially when you have an Oracle database.”

A user who is a Principal Business Intelligence Architect at a computer software company suggests, "It is very biased towards Oracle infrastructure. One of the major red flags we have at the moment against Oracle is that it doesn't support deployment on other cloud providers. We're quite heavily vested in AWS as our infrastructure, and Oracle is yet to formally support deploying on those virtual infrastructure instances. That's quite disappointing, and it also cuts them out of over 70% of the market."

QlikView is a Business Intelligence tool that allows you to keep tabs on all of your business-related information in a clean, clear, and easy to access database that is intuitive to build and simple to navigate. It is ideal for business owners who wish to improve overall output by creating the most productive system possible.

Zoho Reports is a powerful, easy-to-use and highly scalable cloud-based reporting and business intelligence platform for small to medium-sized businesses. Its flexible pay-as-you-go pricing model and scope for customization allow businesses to tailor it to their unique needs.
