What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of BOARD is that it is comprised of a full bundle package solution, while being a BI and CPM tool. Meanwhile, some of its competitors are either/or, but not both.

How has it helped my organization?

The benefits of the solution are a lot of flexibility from a data modeling standpoint. The product can add specific line items into our budget, for example, or if we want to make changes to the data… more»

What needs improvement?

One thing that I personally would like to see is additional visualization tools for visuals. A lot of its competitors are releasing different iterations of their BI visual tools.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

We were using a different solution and needed to increase automation, and we needed to stray away from Excel spreadsheets and the combination of different tools and mechanisms. Our most important… more»

What other advice do I have?

I would say the best is yet to come. Based on all the new, upcoming releases, features, and eLearning. If you are looking to make a decision, you should defer from making a decision right now, because… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked at the big players: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Vena Solutions, and QlikView. We did not feel any of these solutions were perfect.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature is the drag and drop, then the simplicity to build dashboards which allows us to provide more usable data to our customers. In this version of Tableau (the latest version), the most valuable feature is Tableau… more»

What needs improvement?

I would like them to include the Italian language, even if it's not a problem for me to use English, because the Quantrix modeler is only in English. I can also see there is Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese, so why not Italian?

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The price is good. The price could be higher for the quality of software, so they revised the pricing in this version, and I agree with the price for top version. The top version costs about $70 per month, and the price is cheap for the… more»

What other advice do I have?

I am very satisfied with it. I would recommend it. Most important criteria when selecting a vendor: * Customer care quality * The learning instruments provided via webinars and YouTube videos to improve my skills as fast as possible.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did try another platform, MicroStrategy. I spent one year and several webinars on both companies, Tableau and MicroStrategy. I decided to invest in Tableau because of its simplicity; it's more simple to understand and less complicated… more»

What is most valuable?

I find the most valuable feature of the solution is the RPD, so the BI Server component, and the building conformed structures across unconformed data.

How has it helped my organization?

I think having the conformed structures makes it a lot easier for end users and pulling reports together.

What needs improvement?

I think there is a lot of room for improvement. This solution is weak in the data science perspective. I have past data science experience. And, I find that there is a lot of room for improvement in terms of incorporating more advanced… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I think to spread this across an enterprise will be a significant investment. Be prepared to spend a lot of time and money.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have past experience with QlikView, Tableau and Sisense.

What is most valuable?

Agility in dashboard creation and evaluating statistics with simple models.

How has it helped my organization?

Quick deployment to dashboards and analytics features (using SAS Visual Statistics and Enterprise Guide). Easy to create a simple forecast and discover business insights using segmentation tools.

What needs improvement?

* Connectivity with other data origins * Visualization is poor * Create KPIs directly

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Compare pricing online with other vendors; licensing type is simple.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

QlikView and Qlik Sense, IBM Cognos suite.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Qlik, IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, and others.
