We evaluated Sophos, Cisco ASA, SonicWall, and FortiGate.

For Check Point firewalls you don't have any alternative.

We also looked into Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco.

Palo Alto and Cisco. And the reason for going with this solution was the price.  So, with Cisco, it was priced. We actually checked the overall price of the cost of ownership. When you talk about support costs and everything else, was cheaper than Cisco. And with Palo Alto, also had reliability issues that could not be overcome by their support.

We asked for a recommendation from a security consultant. They indicated that Check Point was the premier vendor of security appliances.

We did not evaluate other options.

I have evaluated another product before Check Point but found the local account manager to be more aggressive.

The choice to evaluate would not be my personal decision but the requirement raised by the customers.

Check Point was always our first option in terms of product choice.

It is always important to look for options available in the security solutions market. We really like how Check Point is managed, which is why we trust this manufacturer.

We have other options with other vendors such as Juniper, with their Security Director, and JSpace, but nothing can compare with how Check Point Security Management performs.

We looked into SonicWall and Palo Alto.

We didn't evaluate other vendors.

We researched to find the security tool that best suits our requirements.

We always evaluate alternatives and try to see what fits the client best. Fortinet, PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Cisco, et cetera.

Sometimes our clients look at other options such as Palo Alto, or even a blend of these and Check Point.

Palo Alto is most preferred NGFW compared to Check Point, due to having a large market share.

Before choosing Check Point, we evaluated FortiGate from FortiNet, Sonicwall from Dell and Cisco FW products.
