We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The training material is good. The information is very systematic, detailed, and comprehensive. They have a training video for almost every single thing, which makes it easier to know how to use the tool.""Celonis has helped me to identify and prioritize process improvement areas. Because we understand the end-to-end lead time, including waiting times and areas where rework happens, we can see the performance bottlenecks.""Celonis' best feature is a new one called Action Flow, an enhanced version of earlier automation features with lots of integration options with other systems so you can access third-party systems and automate some actions there too.""The solution offers very good division management.""We use the tool for supply chain transformation. The tool has helped us find the bottlenecks in the supply chain like where the delay occurred in delivery, payment, etc. We had to extract two years' of data from the SAP system and an internal tool. We fed the data into Celonis and it created a process map for us with hundreds of variations. It has helped us see where exactly the bottleneck was. The tool has also helped us generate a lot of reviews and KPIs. It has helped us to find the problem and the remedy through process optimization.""It is a very strong and very powerful solution. You can seamlessly process a large amount of data. It doesn't take a long time to do the analysis. It provides the analysis matrix, which basically includes all the analytics that need to be performed for the transactions. You can drill down really fast within graphics. You can double click and drill down to specific areas for more details. It is very intuitive and easy to use.""Its usage is relatively straightforward after the UI is set up. There's a lot of pre-built analysis that can be utilized, which saves a lot of time. Overall, it is a good product.""Action Flows are good."

"The most valuable feature is the integration model.""Predominantly, it enables financial services organizations to build up process knowledge and improve operational efficiency.""The product helps us build solid business use cases.""Everything is valuable. If you're looking at the process documentation feature, it's really easy to use. We have official training from Signavio trainers, but sometimes I do the training myself very shortly for our colleagues. In less than one or two hours, they are already able to model the business process themselves. The language is really easy. The user interface is really easy. If you're talking about process simulation, we have customers and clients internally who are using it a lot, because they are from logistics or operations. They have numbers and KPIs behind the process. They know their numbers, so they have to see how they can improve a given business processes with a change in the task sequence or a change in the numbers of KPIs. If you're talking about the process mining, it is integrated into the whole solution.""It's easy to set up.""The product's best feature is the connection and integration between all of the capabilities.""The backend is great.""Being able to deploy in shorter cuts."

Cons
"It could be less expensive.""In the next release, I would like for them to integrate more custom features to ease the process of having multiple solutions. I would like to be able to integrate it with other solutions.""We want to see its linkage to Robotic Process Automation. We would also like to see how can it lead to the implementation side and whether the transition is smooth.""Celonis should have the ability to automate in the next release, in my opinion.""They are killing the customers with high licensing prices. The tool’s pricing could be cheaper. Small enterprises wouldn’t be able to afford the tool.""The one thing that could be improved is the guides are not getting updated to cover new features and upgrades, which means we can't use them at their full potential.""Another area of improvement is implementation. So, in future releases, I would like to see a more streamlined implementation process would be appreciated, making it less time-consuming and more efficient.""The Process Query Language (PQL) native language used in Celonis needs improvements. It has most of the process-related functions but we have queries from clients that cannot be done in PQL."

"The product doesn't allow me to focus on a particular value stream and how the value stream performs.""There could be more standard interfaces for importing data from the various systems in the process landscape.""It could be more scalable.""I would like to see a better version of the solution.""With the new release, I have some problems. Actually with Signavio, many of the processes are not viewable for unclear reasons. The product itself is reachable most of the time, but some processes are not there. Some pages do not loading at times.""SAP has to figure out a better way to price it. Their licensing structure isn't ideal as it's based on data; therefore, it's hard to estimate client costs.""The challenge for a solution that utilizes modeling notations, is that the look and feel of the models (e.g. in BPMN) is pre-defined.""It should be able to convert business workflows into media documents quickly."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "It is quite a significant investment. From a cost perspective, they need to reevaluate the licensing model. The cost is justified, but they need to make the licensing model slightly different."
  • "Evaluating the price of the solution can be a difficult question. It is all about the business case and the return of the investments. That is typically how we also see this type of solution. It depends very much on the return. The entry-level is focused on enterprise size companies, for the SMB segment is it is out of their range. It is definitely expensive."
  • "I was not involved in that, but I am sure it was cost-effective for them. That's why they made the decision to take it."
  • "The cost of the software for us or the client is on the higher end."
  • "The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it."
  • "Celonis is expensive. It's not for mid or low-sized enterprises because the license price is high. Overall, it's quite pricey compared to anything else that I have heard about. But the good thing is that they don't charge per user. They charge for the data model."
  • "Celonis offers free learning possibilities. I am using the free version of Celonis."
  • "It is an expensive solution."

  • "I would not say the product was terribly expensive but I would not say it was cheap either."
  • "The costs of the solution require transparency since sometimes it refers to the number of users and sometimes the amount of volume that is used"
  • "It is a fairly expensive solution."
  • "The solution is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
  • "The pricing is expensive."
