Find out in this report how the two Cisco Security Portfolio solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."It's a very scalable solution. We are using the maximum licensing they offer, and it's very affordable given the value."
"The solution provides secure and easy access to corporate network resources."
"It is easy to scale."
"I like the ability to share the connections or simply to be able to pass the credentials for a connection to other colleagues without bothering too much about the connection being tracked or about security, because each and every user will require a secret password, so I don't really care about sending the details. It's very secure."
"Especially during the COVID pandemic, this solution has allowed us to work from home without security concerns."
"The initial setup is straightforward."
"The solution is secure and has a lot of benefits."
"Configuration policy, posture assessment, and other things can be done in great detail."
"It makes it really easy to accomplish content filtering. We don't have to do a lot of customization. You just click the box for the content category and it's up to date."
"We've found it to be stable and good for our customers."
"Umbrella, being one pane for managing, being all-encompassing, allows us to quickly go in, make a change, and it applies to either every location, if we want it to, or we can have policies in place that only apply to certain users or certain computers."
"I was able to implement it myself. It was really easy to install. You could install it on a server locally if you want to. If you have the biggest site, you would do that, but for my site, it was just directing all the traffic out through the Cisco Umbrella DNS. It was really handy. When the owners of the company went overseas, I knew that they would be secure because even if they were not on the company network, they would still go through the Cisco Umbrella servers. It was a complete solution for protecting the company with outgoing data."
"The single-pane-of-glass management is really important. In today's era, administration costs and operational expenses will cost you a lot, and it reduces that as well. You don't need extra resources to manage all your parameter firewalls, looking at every single device to allow resources internal access. By just introducing the single-pane-of-glass management, it has lifted the burden off of management, especially the network management."
"Cisco Umbrella is absolutely stable."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to filter malware sites that could infect clients or allow them to download infected files."
"We are very new users of the solution and are still in the exploration stages, but we are happy with the product thus far."
"This solution doesn't address the seal of trust as a concept for a traditional VPN clients. I think that it is a dying product."
"Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client could improve by optimizing the use of the system resources, it is heavy on the resources. Additionally, there could be more transparency."
"The setup could be simplified for solutions engineers with a wizard."
"The deployment of the agent software for the final customer could be simpler and more helpful."
"There are situations where the connection drops, and you may not even be aware of it until you try to do something critical."
"I believe that the authentication component may be enhanced. SAML, more specifically user authentication."
"You do need technical expertise to set up the product."
"The most valuable feature of the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client is its ease of use and simple interface. It's always available as long as I have a good network connection."
"I'd like to see this solution more closely integrate with other products Cisco has in its portfolio."
"I'm hoping for the conversion of Cisco ZTNA's features from Duo to Umbrella."
"iOS devices and mobiles are huge in my environment right now, and I cannot run them on Cisco Umbrella 24/7."
"Network connectivity was a bit of a challenge at the beginning, but we were able to get the right help from Cisco."
"I feel that the application needs other characteristics that are available with other applications in the market."
"The integration with other solutions is a little complex. If you want to integrate with something like ArcSight or LogRhythm or Splunk, you need to do a lot of configuration. There are no easy ways to implement it."
"Cisco Umbrella should introduce an on-premises device."
"The API is very Cisco orientated, which is absolutely fine if you're using Cisco Firepower and SecureX kind of products, but if you want to integrate with third parties, it is a bit tricky. There are some key API connectors for the more prevalent SIEM tools. I would really like to see in Cisco Umbrella the ability to create customized reports and then assign the rights to view these reports to people within a group. I should be able to create a customized report, which is viewable by anybody who has the rights. I should be able to create groups within Cisco Umbrella, and then assign reports to groups and have those reports split out automatically only to those groups. I can kind of do it by restricting my email list, but it is a half-complete way of doing it."
