Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

"The feature we call desktop recording is the most valuable aspect of the solution. Not only can we collect data from the user's usage, but we also capture his screenshots when he is trying to steal the data.""It can scale from 100 to 10,000. There's no problem with the scalability."

"The intrusion detection system.""It's quite easy to integrate Safeguard with BitLocker""The most valuable feature is the synchronized security. It's a unique feature on the market at this time only offered by Sophos. As a reseller, we often win bids and get clients because of this unique trademark feature.""It's a straightforward solution.""The features that I have found most valuable are encryption tools that encrypt the hard disk and the USB sticks.""The malware protection and the scanning features are most valuable in this solution.""I like its ease of use the most. The management console is really nice. I like having one pane of glass that does everything. It does the Sophos anti-virus and encryption. Everything that you need is in one place. It is easy to use, and it is also pretty fast. It provides some pretty good details, and it lets you know who has access to a file. You can also add additional people to the encrypted documents, which is pretty good. Its stability and performance are also very good.""Security-wise, it's one of the best."

"There are a lot of issues with the current version of the Endpoint agent. It's not stable, it's resource-consuming, and there are some performance issues. If they could improve the stability of the agent it would be great.""Some features on Mac and Linux are not complete currently. For example, some device control features haven't been transferred over to the other systems. If they could have their Windows features also available on Mac and Linux, that would be perfect. Some of our customers have a Mac environment for their RD environment. Having the solution fully capable of handling everything in a Mac environment is crucial."

"There are times that this solution takes up too much memory that needs to be resolved. If it is not fixed it will definitely create issues in the future.""The security does not have 100% authentication.""In the next release, I would like to see more automation with the endpoint logging, but it's a special feature that is quite complicated to explain.""It would be ideal if the solution had different features within one agent.""The integration could be a little better.""When you have the PPM chipset, you can have the power-on authentication, when you boot up your machine, you can set the six-digit passcode. As of right now, SafeGuard can't manage the six-digit passcode in terms of the expiration, and I need that added as a feature.""It's a good product, but some are not happy with the boot BCN, and the point-to-point VPN requires the best protection.""If it's possible, they should make all the features available because it's got a lot of features on offer, but you have to buy the license in order to add those features to the normal Endpoint. If they could make all those features available and/or offer a bundling option it would be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
"The licenses are dependant on the number of users and computers you have to protect.""We have a yearly license with Sophos which is around $1000-$1200 or so per annum. There are no additional costs beyond the standard licensing fee.""It would be great if the price of the solution was lower than the current price. If we are to sell this particular solution to smaller businesses and not just enterprise businesses it needs to be lower.""Licensing is on a yearly basis and the pricing could be better."
