Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It is the best solution in terms of space, file sharing, and live editing. I can share and edit files with multiple users.""It is definitely stable. The main advantage of Dropbox is that you can see the files, and you can easily share them with all the team members. They can be accessed by whoever you give access to, and it is all secure. Dropbox is a seamless product. It provides you the privacy that you're looking for. Privacy is a major factor for my company, and Dropbox provides you that.""It is straightforward and works seamlessly.""Dropbox is easy to set up as it doesn't require any installation, just a download.""I like how user-friendly the solution is.""The solution is easy to use.""The solution is easy to use.""File syncing is the most valuable feature. I use it every day to sync files across to the cloud."

"The sync process has been quick, and the software correctly maintains the same file structure as in File Explorer.""I can access my files from all kind of devices and operating systems. I do not need any more external flash drives. I can even edit my files directly in the cloud using pCloud Drive."

Cons
"Considering the solution's shortcomings, I want the product to be more user-friendly and offer more storage capacity.""We are moving to Microsoft Teams. Instead of Dropbox, we will be using Microsoft Teams that has the advantage of saving the versions. It supports file versioning so that you can always go back to the previous version if you want to. If somebody has made a change in one of the files and you don't know what changes have been made, you can always go back to the previous version. This feature led us to migrate to Microsoft Teams. With Dropbox, there is no option for simultaneous work. This feature is there in Google Files. In Microsoft Teams, you can invite team members to collaborate. That is the reason why I prefer Microsoft Teams over Dropbox. It should also have more integration with other solutions.""The mobile aspect of the solution needs improvement. For instance, if I want to use a file from Dropbox on my phone, I sometimes struggle to download images off of Dropbox. The solution lacks accessibility on different devices.""DropBox is a little more complicated to scale up than OneDrive. It isn't as seamless to scale up storage or change the number of users. We have two or three users in Mumbai, and we don't plan to add more.""2 Gb of free space and then a not so cheap subscription (also if the competitors have similar proposals for customers).""The problem with the storage is that you are only able to synchronize the information within the amount of storage that you have. It doesn't matter if you are accessing from a team member who has more storage, the limitations are with your storage.""The free storage can be increased.""I would like to see integration with Office products, it would be very helpful."

"My recommendation is that support could be better, even though sometimes things can be technically complicated."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Dropbox offers a freemium model which is very convenient and affordable. Beyond that, the pricing is favorable."
  • "Given the price and limitations, there are more competitive options available."
  • "A bigger discount for existing users would be appreciated."
  • "I am using the free solution, which provides me with 2GBs of storage, and for me, it's sufficient."
  • "Its price is quite cheap. It is quite competitive. You just need to pay for the license. There are no additional costs."
  • "You pay as you go, which is a good thing. There is a monthly fee, and you can also pay annually. This flexibility makes the subscription easier and affordable for some of us. I prefer yearly pricing, which is also slightly cheaper than monthly pricing."
  • "It has some free features, but for some of the features, you need to pay. If you need more storage, then you need to pay. Its licensing probably is on a monthly basis."
  • "I am on a monthly subscription for the solution and I am somewhat satisfied with the pricing. However, the price could a bit better."
