"The out of the box reports and workflows are pretty good and they meet our requirements well.""Data Insight reporting tool is the most valuable feature. They came up with it a couple of years ago. The most pleasing factor is the dark theme. You don't have a white background. It has templates that you can create for all kinds of reports that you can hit on the fly. It's much better printing of the reports. If you want to send PDFs to people, the reports are actually decent. Whereas for years, the old architecture of the PDFs was rubbish and even our customers said, "We have to manipulate your PDFs because they all have bad margin breaks. SevOne fixed that a couple of years ago with the new Data Insight. It's fantastic.""In 90% of the cases, new devices are plug-and-play, so when a new version comes out then SevOne has support for it out of the box.""The SMP and the xStats, which is for flat file integration, are both useful for integrating the various metrics that the device provides to monitor the performance of those systems.""One of the most valuable features is the graphs, which you can build instantly. I have used some open-source platforms in the past, but they are not as good. With SevOne, the sampling in the graph can be every few seconds, not just every few minutes, and that's really helpful. It's really fast.""SevOne’s data collection functionality is very good. From a collection point of view, we pull SNMP data, which is simple. It is easy to manipulate the pull in the estate. It is really simple compared to some of the other products that we have used. However, for deferred data, i.e., things that we import or don't pull directly, we tend to have a preplanned integration. So, its Universal Collector is really useful.""The network data collection has been very flexible for us. It's been thorough in areas that were lacking. They have a team that I've worked with to add other pieces to it. So if it's missing something out of the box, they work with me to add it. I was able to collect that data. It's not perfect, but it's pretty thorough.""The monitoring of the network is very customizable. That is its unique feature."

"Their discovery is very quick and they have a CSV file upload mechanism that allows you to onboard five thousand devices a day.""The role-based dashboards provide data points and charts and topology diagrams in a single window. It's like a spider web, where the application, connectivity, and everything is defined for each user of those applications.""Our response time is within 30 minutes for any support. This solution provides alerts immediately, so we are within our SLA, giving efficiency to our support.""The most valuable feature is alerting. We get email alerts when a link is down that tell us which device is having a problem.""The feature that I like the most and the best part is the customization.""It is a stable product. After the initial configuration, you don't have to tweak it much. All systems of Everest IMS work perfectly.""The backup, restore, and comparison features are all good.""We use the solution to automatically trigger processes to help us resolve issues. The whole IT process has been automated, such as trying to map all the users and the escalation process. So, if any issue happens, we get an SMS and WhatsApp of the report. If there is a critical issue this has to be sorted out, like the entire data center being down, then there is an alarm."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"The user management features need to be improved. It would be nice if we had more granular control, or layers of control, out of the box.""The reports are easy to configure but they are a bit outdated in terms of appearance and visualization.""Telemetry is hot these days, and IBM can improve SevOne's support for telemetry correction. Reporting is another feature that could be better. It provides the bare minimum functionality, which is good enough for most engineers, but the management isn't advanced. The new portal provides a much lighter view and better visualization, but the management is not so good.""SevOne should work with the graphs legend functionality.""There is no service mode setup in this monitoring tool if you want to snooze alerts for any specific amount of time, to account for any activity change or major incident.""Software upgrades can be tricky is not easy.""Their virtualization solution is not compatible with our Kubernetes environment, which is one of the reasons we are ending our relationship with them.""We previously have had discussions on some reporting enhancements. So, we raised a feature request, which was delivered from SevOne."

More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Cons →

"There might be some features in other products that are currently not there in Everest IMS and can be included. I have not yet compared it with any other product.""I would like to have the option to add a new device or meet with the next release. Right now, it needs to be done from the backend which results in a heavy reliance on R&D.""This solution is available in SaaS. The reason why we have not gone to SaaS is they do not have a country-specific separation of assets. There are GDPR and other requirements that might require country-specific sensitive information to be filtered as well as other things that need to be taken care of. Normally, if we need to do any compliance, like ISO27000 compliance, they don't have such a report within their system. This kind of report is missing from their SaaS. That is one of the reasons that we have gone to the on-prem version, where I am assured that my data is secure.""The graphical view of the topology does not show us all of the connectivity in our network, which is something that could be improved.""Email support is a bit slow. Once you drop an email, it takes time.""The GUI is in need of improvement. It is not drag-and-drop or easy to use.""We have enquired if there are any possibilities of monitoring non-IPBS devices.""I would like to see an integrated view of Infraon IMS and Infraon Desk. It would be very helpful if that were integrated into the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "Have a bank of licenses, because it is about the number of objects (RAM, ports, CPU, etc.)."
  • "Choose a SevOne partner who can provide SevOne as a service and can deliver professional services and maintenance."
  • "It is inexpensive compared to other monitoring tools."
  • "Prices per license are not huge, but they exist."
  • "There are cheaper solutions available."
  • "The pricing has been fair."
  • "Many tools price things based on the number of KPIs that you're collecting around a device. In many cases, there could be hundreds of metrics that you need to collect. SevOne provides device-level pricing. That gives us the flexibility to turn on, and expand on, the metrics that we're collecting around those devices, without taking a financial hit."
  • "The pricing has not evolved with the market, which is one of the reasons we are moving to a new product."
  • More IBM SevOne Network Performance Management (NPM) Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "We pay for a number of devices on the accounts and since it is on-premises, we pay the maintenance charges for the year."
  • "The pricing is reasonable, given the features that they provide."
  • "The cost model is within our budget. I have less than 180 critical assets, but the moment that I have 1,000 assets, then the license model is totally different. I don't know whether they are capable of handling that kind of a load. They could revisit the licensing model."
  • "If you are looking for the best product with the best price, Infraon is the best product. We evaluated five to six products and finally felt Infraon was better because of the pricing model, especially because it was more flexible."
  • "Licensing is calculated on a per-user basis."
  • "I think that the pricing for this solution is reasonable and varies by number of devices."
