We performed a comparison between ExtremeCloud IQ and Ubiquiti Wireless based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Cisco, Fortinet, Broadcom and others in Network Management Applications."What I like best about ExtremeCloud IQ is its ease of use. Flexibility is another pro of ExtremeCloud IQ. I also find ExtremeCloud IQ feature-rich."
"The Client 360 feature provides a comprehensive view of your clients and their activities, including the devices they use. Additionally, a feature called Network 360 offers a 360-degree view of the network, like data usage (in GB), the status of ports and AP, and other details. You can drill down on granular-level drills to gain insights into specific applications and usage patterns like application level and fee, where your data is being wasted or what your clients are doing with the Internet data, what kind of applications they are using, etc."
"Ability to assign zero trust policies from the user."
"Its configuration and deployment are the most valuable."
"The most valuable feature is the centralized management capability."
"HiveManager is incredibly useful for managing APs and switches from one cloud interface."
"What our customers like the most is that this device is so rugged. It has very good performance and throughput. Its console is very easy to use and has many features, which makes it different from its competitors. Cloud IQ has all the features built into the console, whereas other solutions require you to integrate multiple solutions with their consoles. You don't need to add anything extra with Cloud IQ. With this single solution, you can do almost everything."
"This solution's most valuable feature is its short deployment time."
"Easy to use and flexible."
"It's a well priced solution and as far as I'm concerned, it's enterprise class."
"I like the price, quality, and consistency of manufacturing."
"I like the fact that you can set it up like a wireless connection. Previously, we used to connect from one SSID to another. When we started using Ubiquiti, everyone was so happy because even if they moved from one place or another, say from the pantry to a meeting room, they didn't need to connect manually to another SSID. This is one of the features that I really like about it. It is doing a great job. It offers a free controller that you can use to see if the devices are connected or not and if they are up or down."
"I have found the most valuable features to be the ability to use the main centralized administration process and the internet."
"It allows us to offer policy control."
"The indoor WiFi connection works well."
"It is very stable and the equipment lasts quite a long time."
"A room for improvement in ExtremeCloud IQ is roaming. My team is facing roaming issues with the solution, particularly when using VoIP over WiFi. For example, VoIP sometimes breaks when you walk around the customer site. In terms of what I'd like to see in the next release of the solution, right now, the inventory for ExtremeCloud IQ is awful. There's no stock, and you must wait a year and a half for new stocks. It's awful."
"Certain features only exist or work in certain versions."
"Lacks cyber asset tracking."
"Need port aggregation on the 2384 switches to take full advantage of ac on the APs. I understand that is on their product road map."
"For me, the only issue is the potential delay in the tool statistics updating in real time after making changes."
"Their firewall configuration gets funky and it can be difficult to understand."
"The solution's performance needs to be enhanced because of a very high delay."
"Browser load time for the cloud is long and needs improvement."
"The solution needs to improve its features and offer more to the customer."
"The solution has very good product lines. However, it feels like some models overlap. For example, a new model is announced after three months, and another new model is announced shortly after. So, the release cycle feels too short, and some features overlap. Overall, the products are very good and reliable."
"The production is not very stable in our experience."
"The Unifi controller software has a small issue."
"We have an issue with Ubiquiti Wireless every three to five months for one of the access points."
"Difficult to see error logs and locate the problem."
"This might not be the best solution for a very large organization."
"I would like a better explanation or better documentation on how to use the onboard spectrum analyzer."
