We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product's initial setup phase was easy.""It can scale to a great extent. It can handle the load that we are putting on it, which is about 5TBs.""Matillion ETL has great Git integration that is perfect and convenient to use.""It is pretty user-friendly, even for people who aren't super technical.""It's highly scalable. It takes upon itself the Redshift scalability, so it's very good.""The simplicity of this tool is nice. It has a good graphical user interface. You can also do a lot of generic stuff in the tool. If there is good connectivity to a cloud database, such as Snowflake, and you can have a lot of Snowflake functionality in the tool.""Matillion ETL helps manage data movement, ingestion, and transformation through pipelines.""It has good integrations with Amazon Redshift and other AWS services."

"It is a scalable solution.""The out-of-box integration between Oracle and SAP is really beneficial""The most important part would be the use of connectors. The significant number of cloud connectors available for active integration is its value.""OIC offers a number of pre-built technology and SaaS adapters for high productivity for a wide range of target systems, both in-house via agents and cloud/SaaS, via a very flexible range of interfaces.""The most valuable feature of Oracle Integration Cloud Service is its performance.""In general, there were a lot of great utilities for working with files.""The solution is scalable.""I particularly like the drag-and-drop feature for designing integrations and processes."

Cons
"There are certain functions that are available in other ETL tools which are still not present in Matillion ETL. It would be good to have more features.""When using the SQL loader type there were not a lot of pre-processing features for the data. For example, if there is a table with twenty columns, but we only want to load ten columns. In that case, we can use a security script to select the specific columns needed. However, if we want to perform extensive pre-processing of the data, I faced some challenges with Matillion ETL. I did not encounter many challenges, but my overall experience is limited as I only have three years of experience.""It needs integration with more data sources.""The tool's lineage is very weak.""To complete the pipeline, they might want to include some connectors which would put the data into different platforms. This would be helpful.""Sometimes, we have issues with the solution's stability and need to restart it for three weeks or more.""It can have multi-environment support. We should be able to deploy it in different environments. Its integration with SAP connection is not so nice, which should be improved. It can also support an on-prem database.""The cost of the solution is high and could be reduced."

"The error retrying mechanism could be improved. If an error occurs, it can be retried automatically, it would be helpful.""Oracle Integration Cloud Service can improve the downloading and uploading of files. I've submitted this issue to the Oracle Idea Labs. The issue is from the front end of Oracle Integration Cloud, we cannot download or upload a file directly or drag and drop it.""It has lengthy documentation, making the process of building applications more time-consuming.""If an inbound file is larger than one GB, it cannot be transformed within Oracle.""Oracle-based automation blueprints for the majority of the integrations would be helpful to have in a future release.""We would love to have more and more ready-to-use interfaces from Oracle.""There is a payload size limit and we're unable to integrate some legacy applications.""Make it more similar to the on-premises features. For example, if you can edit the code directly rather than just dragging and dropping, or if you can edit the examples by going into the background, and one-click migration, I'd like to see included in the next release."

    Reviews from Real Users

Oracle Integration Cloud Service is a solution that stands out when compared to many of its competitors. Some of its major advantages are that it has good adapters, is user friendly, and produces a solid ROI.

Rishabh S., Business and Technology Delivery Associate Manager at Accenture, says, “It has good performance, easy integration, is user-friendly, and also has helpful technical support. The dashboard provided by Oracle Integration Cloud for monitoring and error handling is very intuitive. You do not need a third-party dashboard or logging framework when you initiate the integration. There are a lot of adapters, which is what I like the most.”

“The most valuable features of this solution are the SFTP adapters, file adapters, and risk adapters, that we use in everyday projects,” says PeerSpot user Arun N., Technical Manager at a financial services firm.

Kanhaiya C., Solution Architect at Tata Consultancy, explains, "Oracle Integration Cloud Service is a really good product and the ROI is very good with it. It lowers development time. A development cycle that may have taken a year without Oracle Integration Cloud Service can drop down to three or four months with it."
