We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Data security was prime for us. Being able to download and run tests on our local machines was a big plus. The flexibility Ranorex offers in terms of customization is outstanding.""The most valuable feature of Ranorex Studio is its user-friendly interface.""The solution is stable.""Support is very quick. You can write to them and on the same day, they will respond. This is one of the best features.""The solutions's regression testing is very important for our company, as is the continuous integration process.""I like the recording function and Ranorex Spy.""The most valuable feature of Ranorex Studio is the capture and replay tool. You don't need to do script testing. When you launch any application from Ranorex Studio it automatically captures these test case steps. The next time you can replay the tool the flow automatically happens again. For example, when you do the logging and all the activity will be captured by the tool, and re-execute the same step by using automatization.""The solution is fast and includes built-in libraries that record and playback."

"The solution offers excellent integration capabilities.""SoapUI is uncomplicated and user-friendly.""The tool’s scalability is very good.""One good feature is SoapUI's URL check, which allows you to check among the applications. I'm not just talking about the ones for Android. It has all kinds of multi-world tests that are really helpful.""We used to write our own solutions, from small scripts to task web services, so this saves us thousands of hours.""Using SoapUI's automation suites to run all our test cases saved us a lot of time. Running 300 test cases takes about three to four days. When you automate all that, it takes only two to three hours.""The interface is user-friendly.""The solution has some good scanning features."

Cons
"If there are many queries on the web page, Ranorex will not render the page correctly. I had about 1,000 queries on the page, and the solution was not able to handle it.""Part of the challenge is that Ranorex's support is over in Europe, so we can't get responses on the same day. If we had support in the United States that was a bit more timely, that would be helpful.""Other OS Support, Ranorex Spy performance improvement (Especially for Silverlight controls).""When we have updated the solution in the past there have been issues with the libraries. They need to make it clear that the libraries need to be upgraded too.""The solution does not support dual or regression testing.""Ranorex is used in Windows while other solutions, for example, Katalon Studio, are cross-platform. (But in my opinion, overall, Ranorex is better).""I would like to be able to customize the data grids. They are currently written in Visual Basic and we are unable to get down to the cell level without hard-code.""We are mainly working for manufacturing OEMs but the integration is not available. It would be a benefit if they built one integration tool for all the Teamcenter home servers and software as the main PLM data source. It is a simple process at this time, the integration could be made easier."

More Ranorex Studio Cons →

"Grouping of the cases is not possible in SoapUI, to my knowledge. When working with critical cases or the, we were not able to group them properly. We can definitely create a suite and add them there, but within a whole suite, we have to identify them, which was not easy.""Occasionally, when you are saving, the solution can hang.""ReadyAPI Test needs to improve its reporting. While reports provide essential information when issues arise, or tests fail, having more graphical representations directly within the reports would be beneficial. It needs to improve stability and scalability as well. The tool's support is slow, and takes months to reach a solution.""There are no bugs or glitches, but a few features available only in the Pro version could be made available in the open-source version. Some of the features do not necessarily need to be only available to Pro users. The data generator would be really useful for the open-source version users.""SoapUI Pro could improve by having dashboards.""There aren't any plugins for UI automation. You need to make a custom code and download a job to put into the libraries. If it were panelized, then it would be straightforward. It should be in a panel of the tools, so you can add those tools as your test step in your test cases.""SoapUI would benefit from some more customization abilities. It's a good interface, but it would be nice if they added the ability to build custom dashboards where the user can do their own bar graphs and pie charts.""The UI should be improved."
