For an end-to-end solution, Fortinet stands out over F5 Advanced WAF. Fortinet's comprehensive product suite, including FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, and integrated features like CMDD, provides a more seamless and holistic approach to security. While F5 is strong in certain areas, the integrated capabilities of Fortinet make it my preferred choice for a comprehensive security solution.

I worked with FortiWeb for a few years. It's a good product, but it's not very good for a big company. So we decided to migrate to F5.

F5 WAF is a web application, in the firewall domain, they have been in the market for a very long time. They know the requirements and the market trends very well. This is the reason why we normally chose F5.

We have used other solutions previously and in parallel.

We used other public entities for similar use cases.

I previously used FortiWeb, but after comparison, I preferred F5.

We were using another solution before switching to F5 Advanced WAF. We didn't have success with that solution because the integrator failed to deploy it properly. It was more complex and not user-friendly.

We used Citrix ADC, Fortinet FortiWeb, and Barracuda before F5 Advanced WAF. We switched to F5 Advanced WAF due to its efficiency and the port lockdown feature that the customers in Egypt like. Also since it's certified by Gartner, the customers feel confident using it.

I was previously using NGINX App Protect and we switched to F5 Advanced WAF because the GUI was better.

I have used FortiWeb previously.

These products are not meant to be compared, because they are serving in different areas of expertise. When you are low on budget, it's better to use the FortiWeb. When you have a budget and want quality, it's most recommended to use the F5 Advanced WAF. We are talking about different classes of quality.

We used Kona Defender and Akamai Web Application Firewall for about a year prior to using F5. The main reason that we switched was due to costs.

Previously, we used BIG-IP and we used Web Application Firewall.

I am using it on my personal account on Google Cloud. It is used with cloud solutions. I use Google, Gmail, and Google Drive.

I have used different products with lower segments in other solutions. Some were magic when it comes to security and availability but they don't provide visibility on how it works, how it secures and so on. And there is no additional protection from both ends to have a behavior analysis. That is why we chose Advanced WAF. We chose it because of its additional features. We need a solution that is stable and that can offer deep analysis.  

It was a very difficult decision to find the right solution. We used open source software before to protect our system's open source architecture.
We switched to F5 WAF because, for us, professional services are absolutely necessary. There are other cheaper options on the market, but when you need support, it can sometimes be a problem. 

We have looked at other options, but they have different solutions to the F5 Advanced Web Application Firewall.

We have used some other products but they didn't have enough functionality. You can launch media adaptation for variety with F5. That is one of the biggest advantages of this solution.

We mostly deal with F5 and we always ask our customers who want the web application firewall to go for F5. We do have other web solutions as well, like Fortinet FortiWeb, another popular solution. For small businesses, we don't suggest that.
