I evaluated the on-premises version of Citrix but found Kemp to be more helpful, while Citrix was more expensive and not very user-friendly.

Currently, I cannot compare Kemp LoadMaster with similar solutions in the market since I see that my company has to do a lot of work with those customers who use Citrix NetScaler. With Citrix NetScaler, the configuration part is handled by the customer or by one of the partners of Citrix NetScaler. Neither I nor my company have ever taken part in the configuration part of Citrix NetScaler.

We looked at Radware and F5.

We looked at Citrix Netscaler as well as a solution by A10 Networks.

We did not look at other solutions, as it was recommended by our Consulting partner on the project.

We also evaluated Citrix NetScaler.

I looked at Barracuda but the support was terrible and so I went with Kemp and am so glad I did. The support has been stellar.

Prior to choosing Kemp, we evaluated Zen Load Balancer and NGINX. Comparing price and features, Kemp was the best option for us.

We went with Kemp after trying other products like the Netscaler, the F5 solutions, and a few other lesser-known vendors. The Kemp solution gave us everything in the box without having to pay for any additional licenses.

We looked into F5 BIG-IP. However, for small customers, they can't pay for four to five days do to basic config.
