In the start, SAP NetWeaver was very difficult for me, but now I feel it is very easy using the solution. On a scale where one is a difficult setup, and ten is an easy setup, I rate the setup a ten.

I have done deployments, taking around a year.

Regarding deployment, there were some configuration issues that I have told my business consultant about since when I'm working, I face certain issues. There are many things related to Java and a few other things. So, some Java libraries are missing, and other crucial things are missing. I faced many issues when we were deploying the solution.

The first time, I didn't know about the deployment. So, it felt very complicated since it was not working properly. I think these issues belong to business consultants. Also, configurations and solution-related issues fall upon the business consultant. But when we are working as a developer on it, then we face many issues, and we raise the ticket to SAP or a consultant to resolve it. Some Java directories are missing, and some SAP Connectors are missing. Also, some of the connectivity is not proper. Most of the time, components and channels are not available for us.

The installation is straightforward when I worked with it. I didn't find it to be difficult.

It can take weeks to set up an interface.

The initial module deployment process with SAP, it's modular. So the modules or functionalities depend on the specific needs of each company's departmental units.

The deployment phase can take anywhere from weeks to months, depending on the complexity of the specific module and the company's configuration.

Setting up the application isn't complicated. Our operating system and file system should be sufficient. We just need to make sure all the parameters requested are properly maintained.

The initial setup of SAP NetWeaver can be complex. Once you're familiar with what role you have in the SAP system and the transaction code you will be using for the process it is easier to use.

The initial setup is a little complex. The users are not able to install the prerequisite drivers or are not able to follow the SOP because they don't have access to SAP Logon. How long the deployment takes depends on the customer. For one of my clients, an FMCG company, I had to upgrade the system to the latest release first, then migrate the landscape to the cloud, so the deployment process for SAP NetWeaver entailed an upgrade and migration.

For the ECC landscape, deployment took almost one year, starting from the sandbox until production.

We have four admins involved with maintenance. 

The initial setup was complex. We had a lot of professional services around the setup and especially after version 9 because it was like doing everything all over again. For some reason, we could not upgrade our version 8. We had to do a new installment and had to migrate all of our applications again.

The initial setup was not very easy. The point is that you don't do it every day - it's something you do once every few years. That is why it is difficult. The deployment is a five-year process because it's constantly being deployed. We take five years in the project to create an environment and then we start using it. We have our own technical team, a specialist technical team, that come to our country for five years to help us with this.

We didn't have any problems setting it up. You can integrate it into your company. If you know what ABAP, it's no problem to set up. 

The deployment took around six to seven months. The implementation of an SAP solution is not very fast.

The initial setup of SAP NetWeaver always has issues to customize the business, it's complex. You've got to customize it to run your business. It takes six months to a year to set up. Some solutions can take two years.
