Intercept X Endpoint is deployed on the cloud in our organization. Previously, we had two ransomware attacks when we were using Kaspersky as an endpoint security. We didn't face any ransomware attacks after using Intercept X Endpoint for endpoint security.

Intercept X Endpoint has simplified our malware detection. Since we have already implemented the policies in the cloud, all the malware is automatically detected. The solution also detects and removes new malware that can also come from the cloud AI engine.

Integrating Intercept X Endpoint with our current security infrastructure was very easy. In my opinion, Sophos is a better solution because we are using Sophos endpoint security and network security. These two things sync with each other and monitor the packets and network traffic. No other vendor has simultaneous devices to check everything. I would recommend the solution to other users.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The solution's maintenance is very straightforward unless we are forcing updates. I'm using it on my Mac. We feel nothing about Sophos because it is running in the background and protecting.

The solution is value for money because it holds a value. I have not experienced any virus attacks in the last six or seven years. If it gets the virus, then it will be isolated, etc. Overall, I didn't face any issues.

I recommend the solution with a basic subscription and security.

Intercept X Endpoint has an in-built technology in it that works to protect our company from ransomware attacks.

With signature and behavioral-based scanning options, the product is effective in protecting against ransomware attacks.

There are multiple options for threat detection, like application filters, peripherals, device control, and web control. There are multiple options to protect systems from threats.

The exploit prevention capabilities in Intercept X Endpoint have benefited our company's security posture since it will prevent attacks in our company's environment.

I would rate the product's ability to reduce threats a nine out of ten.

The reporting part of the product is good enough for endpoints, but it is not as good as CrowdStrike or SentinelOne in the market.

The tool does impact our company's system profile in the areas of performance and productivity.

Anyone can use the tool. The console is user-friendly, and the endpoint protection is okay.

I rate the tool a nine out of ten.

I rate Sophos Intercept X nine out of 10. Its reporting, alterts, and configuration capabilities make it a formidable product. It's a great product that works as advertised. I haven't seen any serious conflicts between it and other products, whereas I wouldn't put some endpoint protection products on the same endpoint.

You have to do some work there, but generally speaking, there's always been a case where I've been able to have more than one product. It's probably the best of all the products that I work with because I've had Malwarebytes installed together with Sophos and FortiClient without undue pain. There are some others that I won't mention without that same track record.

We haven’t had any major incidents. The product occasionally picks up and prevents something from happening. We're lucky not to have had any major incidents. Every now and again, the solution pops up and tells us that it stopped something, but we don't keep data on it. We wouldn't know how it's impacted us.

I wouldn't recommend the solution because we are investigating alternatives. We are considering MDR solutions. We might choose Microsoft Defender because it is included with other Microsoft products. This is a good solution but that said, there are breaches that are happening, and they are happening using AI. So, the attackers are also that sophisticated and it means that somebody has to sit and do the human check as well.

Ultimately, what happens is that the threats are found, and then the response action is taken based on the outcome of all these steps.

For different environments, the organization might need other or additional tools. For example, if they may need threat protection. There are different vendors that may have an edge in certain areas than Sophos Intercept X has. For us, we need a balanced, multi-pronged approach for securing in our environment, Sophos Intercept X works well.

We deploy all Sophos products.

I would definitely recommend Sophos Intercept and Sophos Intercept X, as well as Sophos Intercept X Advanced and other variants to our customers, this is what we do. We do this for current customers who do not have Sophos and show them the difference and benefits.

Sophos Intercept X is managed from the cloud. Today, 10 years back, seven years back, or eight years back, you had to have a server to control the Intercept X.

We haven't had any issues. We have other antivirus solutions, but this is the best-selling product so far.

Many customers who had been hacked had abandoned their previous antivirus, and we deployed Sophos Intercept Advanced with XDR for them, including ministries and the public sector in Kuwait.

Because everything is in the cloud, you can manage your deployed Intercept X from a single console. As a result, my score is 10 out of 10.

Intercept X has enhanced our ability to prevent malware and ransomware infections. It is a top-notch product, providing robust protection against various threats, including zero-day attacks, while also monitoring encryption levels.

Intercept X has been instrumental in managing and responding to ransomware attacks. I have witnessed multiple organizations using Intercept X remain completely secure when ransomware incidents hit the news.

Deep learning technology enhances our security posture by providing a deeper analysis of malware behavior. It monitors and analyzes malware actions in real time, leveraging extensive threat intelligence data collected since 1985. This comprehensive approach improves our ability to detect and respond to malware threats effectively.

The exploit prevention capabilities of Intercept X effectively safeguard against various attack methods, including SQL injection and CodeSight scripting. It continuously monitors system vulnerabilities and application processes to prevent exploitation attempts.

For those considering Intercept X Endpoint, I would recommend prioritizing its comprehensive protection and user-friendly experience. Even after transitioning from server management, I continue to use Intercept X for mobile security, highlighting its effectiveness and versatility.

Overall, I would rate Intercept X as an eight out of ten.

It has been a good solution so far. It has a very good score in NSS Labs, which is a laboratory that tries and tests all security solutions and gives them a scoring. Many other companies have also started to deploy this solution.

We plan to continue using Sophos solutions. I am in touch with new users, and they appreciate this solution. We're partners with Sophos. We're a consulting company and we provide some managed services. Sophos products are some that I deploy and manage for my customers.

I don't have the EDR or any of the really sophisticated stuff. The client doesn't think that they have a need to go to another level.

I don't have EDR or MTR deployed for the customer. I work primarily with small businesses. So sometimes it's kind of hard to get them to invest more than what they feel comfortable doing.

Other organizations should give it serious consideration if they are looking for a solution. The price point is not unreasonable and the management and the continued evolution that I see within the product means that they're not sitting on their haunches waiting for the next big thing. They're constantly moving forward, trying to keep abreast of what's going on.

We're in an arms race when it comes to cybersecurity. When you look at SophosLabs out of the UK and the work that they're doing in their blogs like Naked Security and whatnot, they're constantly in the forefront, constantly trying to find different threats. It's impressive, to say the least. All of that percolates down into their product because that's what drives their product.

I'd rate the solution at eight out of ten. The solution is consistently showing me that it has a very effective rubric that it follows through on in terms of identifying and remediating, particularly in the area of ransomware. They can handle everything without having to have somebody get down in the weeds and recover things. I like the automation that it brings into the work that's done. That was the wow factor that drew me to them, to begin with.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate Intercept X as a nine out of ten. I don't think I can rate any software security product a ten because nothing in software security is100%.

We are deploying Intercept X on Cloud, not on-premises. The reason for this is because the previous versions of Sophos made the agents different between the anti-virus, endpoint and the Intercept X. Now with the Cloud, Sophos is making one agent for the three technologies — the endpoint, Intercept X, and EDR (Intelligent Endpoint Detection and Response). The three components are in one agent and managed by one dashboard, Sophos Central.

We're using the latest version of the solution.

We've got Sophos Intercept X on the notebook computers along with Kaspersky and then on the servers it's only Sophos EDR, which has both antivirus and Intercept X. All are bundled together.

The console's on the cloud and that's just installed on the clients, however, they all communicate with a self-hosted JIRA cloud console.

I'd advise those considering the solution to probably just go with the antivirus portion as well. That way, you've got it all under one console. We're juggling two consoles, Kaspersky and Sophos. It would be easier if everything was under one.

ON a scale from one to ten, I'd rate this product at a nine. We've been very happy with it.

My biggest bit of advice for people taking on Intercept X is to train your staff on all of the functions of that solution. There are a number of solutions within the one product and it is best to know how to use them all and if they apply to your circumstances.

The biggest lesson we have learned from using Sophos is that the product can be a bit overwhelming with information and data. That is the situation where your training and your resources come into play.

Make sure you have a complete plan to utilize the tool or you will have pieces that are just sitting there and nothing is happening to utilize them. There are a lot of capabilities that the solution has and you need to make the effort to discover them.

On a scale of one to ten (where one is the worst and ten is the best), I would rate Sophos Intercept X as probably about a nine-out-of-ten. It is not until you see other applications like CrowdStrike and do a comparison to see what they can do that you really have an idea of what applications in the category are capable of.

We always deploy the latest version of the solution. We deploy the Intercept X Advanced with EDR.

All the management is done through the cloud. Then there's a client piece you put on, on-premises. We do the management through the cloud and we put the client piece on the premises.

I like a lot of the things that Sophos is doing. They didn't have one this year, however, they have an annual conference, and one of the things they had done, this was right before they got bought by this other company, is they had hired a lot of really top talent. These guys, when I was at the conference for a few days, just listening to them talk, you're mesmerized with how sharp and bright these guys are and what they're adding into the program. Not to say that others aren't getting some of this stuff too, however, it was really impressive. You felt like they had it together. You trust that by sticking with these guys, you're absolutely going to have minimal, to no issues at all.

I'd recommend the solution. It's a really good product. I realized that there are other good products out there and it's not that other companies shouldn't take a look at other products. However, it works, it does what it's supposed to do, and, once you learn it, it's easy to manage and the link to the firewall is really good and a great idea. It's smart to implement a single plan across people's networks. It just makes a lot of sense.

Overall, I would rate the solution nine out of ten.

Advice that I would have for people considering using virus scanning is that I, personally, would not use Sophos Endpoints. That is the simplest edition of the Sophos virus protection product line. I would use Intercept X Advanced as the entry-level product as the other, simpler product, is not robust enough to provide acceptable protection for businesses in my estimation.

On a scale from one to ten where one is the worst and ten is the best, I would rate Sophos Intercept X as a seven. First, I never give a ten because every product can be improved. Second, I subtract two points because of my experience with the data loss feature and how it behaves with USB drives.

I'm looking at moving to the EDR version of Sophos because I have a number of clients that have extremely critical data. One of them handles a lot of money for their clients, and the others are lawyers. The security of not only their own information, but their client information, is critical to them. The Intercept X EDR offering is starting to look like it might be a good solution for several of them because of the live monitoring of the threat attempts on their endpoints.

The EDR is an additional managed service that's a component of the antivirus, where depending upon which level you choose, you either have a team that is monitoring responses from your system, or at a higher level, you have dedicated resources that are monitoring your systems. If there's an alert, they immediately respond to that alert and research it, not only quarantine it, the AV quarantines it, but with the EDR function, it alerts the Sophos team that there has been a potential issue, and they'll immediately begin to research it.

My advice to others would be to use centralized management because it makes it much easier to implement, manage, track the installations, and the day-to-day usage. With the central management, you can see every PC or Mac that's connected, any activity, and any issues. You can narrow any issue down to the computer if it's had to quarantine anything. Additionally, you can tell how long it's been since the computer last communicated. It's a very powerful tool, I would recommend it. To the extent their clients are willing to accept the central manager, it is the best option.

I rate Sophos Intercept X a nine out of ten.

Consultant at a tech services company with 501-1,000 employees

Sophos Intercept X does not have any specific version. It started out on-premises but is now cloud-based. As such, we are using it on the cloud, meaning, Sophos Intercept X Advanced.

We use EDR for both solutions.

There are currently around 550 to 600 users making use of the solution across our company.

For someone contemplating implementing the solution who is looking for a single product containing many features, Sophos Intercept X is the best available. It has features like web, application, and device control, as well as DLP. For someone solely interested in an anti-malware solution, but without DLP, Sophos Intercept X would be so-so.

I would rate Sophos Intercept X as an eight out of ten.

Hybrid Cloud Engineer at a tech services company with 51-200 employees

We are a reseller.

We deployed the latest version of the solution. I don't have the version number on hand, however.

It's a good product to consider if a company is looking to also do spam filtering. What Sophos has as well as a firewall, and it'll give a company a little bit of tighter integration, and that's good. Having those additional security tools as add-ons is an excellent option. We personally haven't gotten their firewall yet, however, it is nice that that is an option.

I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. Overall, in the short amount of time we've used it, we've had a positive experience.

This product works as expected. From the point of view of a Sophos Trainee and Sophos Support Specialist, I admire what this product is doing. It is flexible and the management console is easy to work with.

Overall, this product is doing fine and I have nothing to complain about.

My advice to anybody who is researching similar solutions is that if they are looking for something that is simple and reliable, then this is a good choice. There will be less effort from the local IT support, and they will have well covered and protected endpoints. If they are not willing to spend a lot of time designing policies, precisely tuning everything for maximum performance and protection, then Sophos is the best choice. With very little effort you have a fully functional and very secure system.

Sophos is the best in its class, although there are no perfect systems.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

In terms of advice, I would make sure that, in terms of capacity, to get the right version, to find the right level of device. MX64 is a fairly small business-scale device. We were a bit hesitant about going for that, given the scalability of it at that point. But, obviously, make sure that you go in with enough extra capacity to deal with any increases you have in traffic demand.

If you're setting up a VPN on the MX64, if both ends end up being a Meraki device, then it's simple to set it up. But when it isn't, it's a bit more complex. Eventually, it causes a lot of statistical information that they could provide if the devices are Meraki at both ends. If they could provide that same facility for setups where the network doesn't involve an MX64 or a Meraki device at both ends, that would be great.

I would rate this solution an 8 out of 10.

We're partners with Sophos.

I'm not sure which version of the solution I'm using.

When implementing Sophos Intercept, other organizations need to know that the deployment can be a bit difficult. It's a good solution with a challenging implementation. YOu really need to centralize your deployment. If you have a solution that can help ease the deployment process, it's worth it.

Overall, we are very happy with it. I'd rate it at a ten out of ten.

My advice for anybody who is considering this product is that if you want ease of use for a good price, and something that addresses most of the endpoint protection needs, then this is the best solution to implement.

Generally, I like this product compared to other endpoint solutions and I don't have many complaints. The vendor just has to keep it up or continue to improve. That said, it cannot stop every virus so it is not perfect.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

They have the hardware for different products, different appliances for different specifications.

Sophos bought Cyberoam. People who were Cyberoam customers needed to migrate to the Sophos platform. They could migrate to the Sophos platform while they were still on the Cyberoam product or the Cyberoam appliances.

You can see the kind of work that went back into backward compatibility of the Sophos platform to the Cyberoam platform.

People could actually migrate from that Cyberoam to Sophos, and their licenses as well.

Overall, I am perfectly satisfied with the product. I have no complaints.

I would definitely recommend Sophos Intercept X to others who are interested in using it.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

I am a customer, however, I also have a partnership relationship with Sophos due to the fact that we are a security system integrator and post-security system integrator. That means we not only use Sophos, but we also propose it to our clients.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

I would recommend Sophos as one of the platforms to take into account when looking for a solution that would work for a mid-sized company. Whether it's the ideal solution or not depends on what objectives and goals the organization has. Those need to be taken into account when evaluating a potential solution.

That said, generally speaking, I would recommend Sophos. If you compare the environment, the scope, objectives, and goals of the organization, you'll be able to decide if Sophos would be right for you.
