For how long have I used the solution?

We have been using the solution for more than ten years. At present, we use the latest version.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is relatively stable. Although, I initially encountered a downtime issue. Also, last week, Microsoft had a huge problem across the world. While I was starting a meeting, all the instances went off. It is a general problem and not specific to the version or application I am using currently.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is highly scalable. I rate its scalability an eight out of ten. It still has a scope for improvement.

The solution's initial setup process is easy. I never had any problem changing the headset and using the new ones to mirror my screen.

What was our ROI?

The solution generates a good return on investment.

What other advice do I have?

I advise others to have machines with good memory, power capacity, and processor. I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

An affordable and user-friendly solution that provides a variety of features for efficient collaboration
Pros and Cons
  • "The product is very user-friendly."
  • "The product should improve its security."

What is our primary use case?

I use the product for internal communication, SharePoint, and other tasks. I have deployed it everywhere. It can be used for meetings, external communications, and work collaboration. We can also use applications like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other integrations like Adobe in the solution.

What is most valuable?

The product is very user-friendly. It also provides a mobile application to keep us up to date. It works fine in terms of meetings and remote access. Task scheduling, planning, SharePoint, and secure remote access for troubleshooting and support are valuable features of the solution. Our end users are very happy with the product.

The solution is good. We have had no major issues till now. For audit and security, eDiscovery is pretty good. The product also provides good email security, location security, and security against phishing, spam and malware. We also tried implementing an image security solution to ensure our environment is more secure.

What needs improvement?

The product should improve its security.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for the last four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the solution’s stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the product’s scalability a ten out of ten. In our organization, 150 people are using the solution. I have plans to increase the number of users by 10% till next year.

How was the initial setup?

The setup is very straightforward. We deploy it through the network to our users, add the usernames and passwords, and configure it. The solution is cloud-based.

What about the implementation team?

The deployment takes five to ten minutes for one user. We can deploy the solution for one user on their device, or we can deploy a script over the network. Then, the installation is done through patch management. The deployment was done in-house. We do not need much staff. Two of my employees and I can deploy and support levels one and two. For level three support, we have a team that supports remotely.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is affordable. It is not expensive.

What other advice do I have?

I am using the latest version of the product. I have a contract with Microsoft for Microsoft 365. I'm happy with the product. Since we are in a group, we implement the product. The group is doing good work with Microsoft, and we have a good deal with them. I would recommend the solution.

I am planning to test Microsoft Defender for an image security solution. Microsoft should improve Intune for mobile device management. Intune's dashboard is a bit difficult to understand. It should be made easier. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten.

A scalable and stable tool for online meetings that need to improve its sharing capabilities
Pros and Cons
  • "Microsoft Teams is bundled with Microsoft, so that's the number one valuable feature for me. It's easy to use."
  • "I think the ability to use a whiteboard in the solution is not very simple."

What is our primary use case?

We use Microsoft Teams for all kinds of online meetings, cards, chats, and everything.

What is most valuable?

Microsoft Teams is bundled with Microsoft, so that's the number one valuable feature for me. It's easy to use. It is also hugely connected and stable.

What needs improvement?

I think the ability to use a whiteboard in the solution is not very simple. You need to have it separately. Also, sharing is something in the solution that becomes quite complicated sometimes.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Teams. It's a great solution. From the time COVID started, my company has been using Microsoft Teams. We started using it somewhere around 2018 or 2019. I am just a user of the solution.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I haven't seen any stability issues in the solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Microsoft Teams is very easy to scale. In my company, we have around 40,000 to 50,000 users of the solution.

How are customer service and support?

I don't know about Microsoft's support because we don't see all that since we have our own in-house teams.

What about the implementation team?

I had Microsoft Teams installed by the IT department.

What other advice do I have?

I wouldn't have any advice to offer because I don't know other solutions very well. I am like a fish in a pond that has never seen anything beyond the pond. Since I am satisfied with the solution, I would recommend it to others.

I rate the overall solution a seven out of ten.

Helps to chat and meet with internal teams
Pros and Cons
  • "I like the solution's chat and meeting feature. We have different teams and the product helps us to communicate fastly. Within five minutes all the teams can be on the same page."
  • "It would be better if Microsoft Teams can link us to the internet on the screen sharing mode during the meeting."

What is our primary use case?

We use Microsoft Teams as a communication tool with clients and internal teams.

How has it helped my organization?

During my early days in the IT field, Microsoft Outlook was the only form of communication available. However, the solution has benefitted us with immediate chats with colleagues. The tool makes it easy to conduct chats and meetings. Since Microsoft Teams is a Microsoft product, it is synced with Microsoft Outlook. It has made improvements in day-to-day productivity.

What is most valuable?

I like the solution's chat and meeting feature. We have different teams and the product helps us to communicate fastly. Within five minutes all the teams can be on the same page.

What needs improvement?

It would be better if Microsoft Teams can link us to the internet on the screen sharing mode during the meeting.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Teams for the last three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the product's stability a ten out of ten since I didn't face any problems while using it.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I would rate Microsoft Teams' scalability a nine out of ten. My company has 40,000-50,000 employees globally and everyone has a Microsoft Teams account. About 60-70 percent of my company's workforce is working from home and we use the product to communicate with our team on a daily basis. We increase the tool's usage as new employees join us.

How are customer service and support?

Microsoft provides 24/7 support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool's price is high. We purchase Microsoft Office 365 on per user basis and we get support also on that basis.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. The product requires maintenance based on the user ratio. If you have the budget, then you can use the solution. If you are not capable of using Microsoft Teams, then find other alternatives which suit your organization.

A collaboration tool that can be used to chat with people, manage projects and share documents
Pros and Cons
  • "You can use Microsoft Teams to chat with people, share your documents, manage your calendar, manage your project, and assign tasks."
  • "There are a lot of creative people out there who can put some more UI capabilities in Microsoft Teams."

What is our primary use case?

In the organization where I work, Microsoft Teams is used as a collaboration tool, and it's our company-wide policy to use Microsoft Teams as the integrated tool for all communications and collaborating documents.

What is most valuable?

I like that Microsoft Teams has all the team management features in one place. You can use Microsoft Teams to chat with people, share your documents, manage your calendar, manage your project, and assign tasks. The solution also has multiple small tools available. All in all, it's one place where you can have everything in a single window.

What needs improvement?

There are a lot of creative people out there who can put some more UI capabilities in Microsoft Teams.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Teams for almost three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I’ve never faced any issues with the solution’s stability.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Microsoft Teams is a scalable solution. Our company is big, and I've never felt any glitches or hanging issues with the solution. Around 2,00,000 users are using the solution in our organization.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I've previously used Atlassian Jira. If you are looking for a hard-core project wherein you can get a complete timesheet and better project manageability, Jira is a better tool. However, Microsoft Teams is the better option if you are looking for chatting, collaborating, and sharing features. Jira does not have chatting capability in it.

How was the initial setup?

The solution's initial setup wasn't much complex, but it was pretty straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

Generally, it is the backend team that does the deployment. As end users, we are there to create our folders and channels. We can manage our individual projects by ourselves. However, from the server level, a dedicated company team works on the solution's deployment.

What other advice do I have?

Microsoft Teams is a very popular platform by Microsoft that is very commonly used in all organizations.

Overall, I rate Microsoft Teams a nine out of ten.

Helps to create meetings and share data through SharePoint
Pros and Cons
  • "SharePoint is the most important thing of the solution where you can share your data. I am also impressed with the real-time transcript feature."
  • "The product should improve its pricing."

What is our primary use case?

The product helps to create meetings and share data through SharePoint.

What is most valuable?

SharePoint is the most important thing of the solution where you can share your data. I am also impressed with the real-time transcript feature.

What needs improvement?

The product should improve its pricing.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with the product for a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is stable and would rate its stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is scalable and I would rate it a seven out of ten. My company has 500 users for the product.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used Zoom before and as an organization, we were in a testing mode on finding a solution that gave us more benefits and connected the departments easily. We use Microsoft 365 and Teams is an integrated service of the bundle. Hence, it is good for us.

How was the initial setup?

We have deployed the solution on the cloud.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The solution is expensive and I would rate it a nine out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. Teams is the best compared to Zoom or Google Meet since it is easy to use. You need to take the whole package of Microsoft 365 and get Teams easily integrated with it. It's not necessary to buy individual licenses for Teams.

Seamless 365 integration with useful chat features and helpful support
Pros and Cons
  • "The mobile app really enabled us to connect meetings on the go from anywhere."
  • "The interface must be improved to reflect the true face of Office 365."

What is our primary use case?

The primary aim was to enable remote work, organize meetings and utilize it as an instant messaging tool across the organization. We have around 2000 users on Microsoft Teams

Teams reduced our high traveling costs too as we are conducting training sessions remotely instead of visiting branches. We have a large network of branches across the country and abroad. Teams has strong integration with Office 365 tools which helps with collaborating on documents shared during meetings and conversations with team members in the groups.

How has it helped my organization?

Microsoft Teams reduced the significant cost of traveling. We have a large-scale network of branches in the country and abroad too. It became pretty easy to share documents across different teams, groups, and individually.

Instant chat made people more engaged and reachable at all times. Instead of sending email to colleagues, we can discuss and share documents immediately.

The mobile app really enabled us to connect meetings on the go from anywhere.

We regularly organize seminars for distributors, and this channel helped us organize a large audience online.

What is most valuable?

It offers seamless Microsoft 365 integration. With Teams integration, you can quickly create teams within a group, bring deleted groups back, edit the group email alias, and use sensitivity labels.

Chat is one of the key features of Microsoft Teams. Whether it’s just with one person or with a group chat allows you to instantly message team members for quick discussions and feedback.

You’ll have less clutter in your inbox as prompt, quick questions get resolved over Teams chat rather than a potentially long wait for an email reply.

What needs improvement?

The interface must be improved to reflect the true face of Office 365. External user visibility must be available in the next releases of Microsoft Teams.

User activity logs must be available along with more task management capabilities.

Microsoft Teams is able to translate slides into multiple languages. It also is able to transcribe audio from multiple languages. It would be beneficial if it could also take the transcription in one language and translate it into another. It may not be great since the source is audio. However, it would be helpful in a situation when professional translation services are not available.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Teams for seven years.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support is awesome.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution.

How was the initial setup?

The solution is simple and straightforward.

What about the implementation team?

The vendor team is extremely professional.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

This product is quite economical.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did also evaluate Zoom.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of Microsoft Teams are video conferencing, chat function, and the one that shows you that you've got new messages.

Microsoft Teams withdrew the Wiki function, which was quite a good and useful feature. The solution has withdrawn the Wiki function in favor of SharePoint.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Microsoft Teams for two years.

I rate Microsoft Teams a five out of ten for stability.
