I was thinking of going with Veeam, but BackupAssist responded quicker when I did my inquiries. Veeam didn't respond in time. If you can't respond to me quickly, it makes me wonder how my experience is going to be. So, I went for BackupAssist. It was also a product that I had seen before. So, it was something I was comfortable working with.

We didn't really evaluate other options. I was already using Windows Backup Exec and was having problems with it. Veeam was quite expensive. The solution was recommended by someone that was already using it, which is why we decided to implement it.
