We performed a comparison between AlgoSec and Azure Firewall Manager based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Firewall Security Management solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The firewall analyzer is great if you deploy a new firewall platform and need to see if it provides an adequate level of protection, where you don't have any dangerous rules."
"AlgoSec contributes more in the security space for our company, especially in automatically finding the high risk and medium risk rules instead of manually reviewing over a few thousand rules."
"The product gave us more agility on the process to analyze and resolve tickets by requesting permissions to access services not enabled by default."
"We have not seen many faults reported from our customers."
"To be able to monitor all firewalls under one umbrella."
"It assists us in network security reviews and audits."
"FireFlow is great. In a company that gets a large volume of requests to open firewall rules, it's helpful to have one place that summarizes the requests, enabling you to clearly understand why they need to be implemented and also implement them. Firewall Analyzer can help you identify missing routing or check information on the firewall without the need to log into a firewall or router to check the routing. We have all that access in three clicks."
"It offers a range of automated workflows and processes that accelerate security policy management."
"The solution has improved our organization with its firewall."
"The most valuable feature of Azure Firewall Manager is the testing and configuration."
"It is easy to install and does not require any plugins for your browser."
"The solution is very easy to set up."
"The tool's support is good."
"The reporting could be a bit better."
"It gives you the capability to make changes to hundreds of your firewalls at the same time, but big enterprises have change management policies. Change managers will never allow you to make changes to more than 10 devices at the same time, which is a feature in AlgoSec. Because, what if something goes wrong, then you have to roll back and figure out what caused the impact, e.g., which firewall did not work well. Doing that post-mortem becomes a difficult thing. So, change automation on a firewall is actually defeating the purpose of the change management policies in any organization. If you run a bank, you will not allow anyone to make changes at the same time from a single click for 10 firewalls. The bank will never allow this."
"The FireFlow template does not allow the user to perform external actions like sending an email or triggering a specific action."
"The HA solution is not good."
"Due to the fact that AlgoSec's user interface is less friendly than that of other programs, it might not be appropriate for persons with little experience in security or IT."
"Automate the change documentation in MS Word format. Therefore, we can customize it, if needed."
"Since COVID-19, a number of the technical support team members have been working from home or remotely. So, we haven't gotten support people right when we need them. Sometimes, it takes a couple of hours or even days for us to get that instant support that we used to get."
"We have a fairly complex routing environment that AlgoSec struggled with having dual routers and first hop routing protocols. The initial period when we were doing an installation with their support desk was fairly challenging."
"We could do only one-way NAT-ing, where the traffic comes from outside to internal, to Azure, which is fine. However, when we actually do NAT-ed traffic to hit the firewall, that way is not working."
"There should be a simple one-click deployment for a firewall, rather than a set of setup instructions that include steps such as the DNS configuration, et cetera."
"The tool's security features need to improve. It needs also to include a monitoring system for logs. It is also complicated to find a query on the Azure firewall."
"The solution can improve the integration with open-source tools."
"The price is okay. This said, the solution is certainly expensive in comparison with other cloud services."
