We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the workflow, the task list, and the modeler where we use VPN.""Ease of use and ability to streamline a process model.""We like the idea of working with Cawemo because it enables us to keep on working, remotely or not. It allows us to collaborate between areas. It's easy to model and easy to use""Camunda Platform is better than IBM BPM, and Azure. It is more elaborate.""The interface and the number of connectors that they provide are the most valuable features. The support here, it's kind of okay. But the main thing is with the number of connectors and the UI, the user interface.""The ease with which I can define workflows is most valuable. The latest updates and flexibility that it provides around a task activity are interesting for me.""Camunda Platform has a very good interface for workflow and business process design.""Having knowledge of the BPM and monitoring process has proven to be very beneficial, as I am currently engaged in documenting processes for Clientele."

"The most valuable feature of the webMethods Integration Server is its reliability. It has a lot of great documentation from the service providers. Additionally, it is easy to use.""Application integration, business process integration, and B2B partner integration are valuable. But among these, I feel B2B partner integration is the most valuable. This module integrates two business partners and exchanges data through electronic data interchange messages in the form of specific standards, without any manual process needed.""What I found most valuable in webMethods Integration Server is that it's a strong ESB. It also has strong API modules and portals.""It's obvious that the heart of the product lies here. It's comprised of all aspects of ESB (Enterprise Gateway, Adapter, TN, Java) and BPM (task, rules engine).""The tool is very powerful and user-friendly.""One [of the most valuable features] is the webMethods Designer. That helps our developers develop on their own. It's very intuitive for design. It helps our developers to speed the development of services for the integrations.""Segregation of deployment for the environments is the most valuable feature of the solution.""Some of the key features are the integration platform, query mechanism, message handling within the bus, and the rules engine. We've had a really good experience with webMethods Integration Server."

Cons
"Like all BPM tools, they're very bad with proprietary UIs. In general, anyone who uses BPM tools should not expect to use their proprietary UI.""The primary issue regarding the Camuto platform is its high cost of training. This is why I haven't discussed it extensively, as compared to other products that are more affordable in terms of developer training.""The product does not have a dictionary.""When trying to design rule tables the solutions graphical user interface could improve, it could be more user friendly.""An improvement would be to support Angular 2 instead of AngularJS, which is quite old.""The Camunda Modeler installation poses a challenge, requiring local installation, which doesn't help collaboration like other online tools, for instance.""We're trying to put the people from the business to do it. We are using APIs, and we have open APIs to define our APIs and the request-response that each call requires and sends. So, to base the mapping on that, there was nothing to help. I know that with some tools, such as Oracle tools, you can see the input and expected output. With drag and drop, you can take one property from the left and drag it to the right, and it does all the mapping itself, but that's not the case with Camunda. So, for me, this is something that can be improved.""As we experienced some difficulties in the beginning, deployment took almost a month."

More Camunda Cons →

"I'd like to see the admin portal for managing the integration server go up a level, to have more capabilities and to be given a more modern web interface.""We'd like for them to open up to a more cloud-based solution that could offer more flexibility and maybe a better rules engine or more integration with rules engines.""Large file handling is pretty hard comparatively to other middleware tools.""webMethods Integration Server could improve on the version control. I'm not sure if Web Method has some kind of inbuilt integration with Bitbucket or GitHub or some kind of version control system. However, that's one area where they can improve.""The product needs to be improved in a few ways. First, they need to stabilize the components of the whole platform across versions. Also, they should stop replacing old components with brand new ones and, rather, improve by evolution.""It could be more user-friendly.""One area that needs improvement is the version upgrade process. Many customers I've worked with encounter challenges when transitioning from their current version, such as x or 9, to a newer version. The process is not smooth, and they must shift their entire website.""The learning curve is a little steep at first."

webMethods Integration Server is widely considered to be the best integration server available in the marketplace today. The solution can help users integrate everything and anything.

webMethods Integration Server allows organizations to display and integrate existing and new business activities. The solution offers components that help users create, test, and install new services. webMethods Integration Server can automate, organize, and construct various gathered services and traditional legacy systems into productive value-added processes. webMethods Integration Server works as a secure platform for distributing and running services. The solution obtains and translates user requests, recognizes and records the requested service, translates and moves the data in the necessary format, receives the information back, and returns the information to the user in the appropriate original format. webMethods is the primary solution used by enterprise organizations for integrating functional coordination with application servers, custom applications, and databases. webMethods makes it easy for enterprise organizations to share electronic documents seamlessly.

Users have several options to audit webMethods Integration Server processes using some of the component metrics below:

    • Adapters: Using the SOA extension for webMethods, users can easily monitor the performance of every adapter users have deployed. Available metrics include Adapter Services, Adapter Connection Pools, and Adapter Notifications nodes.

    • Business Processes: A business process is a process that uses a specific set of rules to perform tasks in a prescribed order. Many business processes depend on the successful integration of numerous systems, involving many people in varying roles. With the SOA extension for webMethods, users can easily monitor that workflow, ensuring that processes are being performed as defined.

    • Java Services: This includes services created in Java or in languages coordinated with Java.

    • WebServices: This includes services regarding webserver endpoints and performance.

    • XSLT Services: This service will allow users to transform XML data into other formats and includes the transformation to other services.

    • Thread Pools: This metric uses threads to conduct services, gather documents from the webMethods Broker, and initiate triggers. Documents can be published locally on the server or to the broker that will send the document out. A JMS trigger receives inbound messages and then processes those messages accordingly.

    Reviews from Real Users:

“There are a few things about this product that we definitely like. It is very robust. If you build it nicely, you can't go wrong with it. It's rock solid. The development is very fast. If you know what you're doing, you can develop something very easy and very fast.” - Rohit S., Integration Lead at a wellness & fitness company

“One of the most important features is that it gives you the possibility to do low-level integration. We can meet any requirements through customizations, transformations, or the logic that needs to be put in. When clients come to me with any problem, in about 99% of cases, I say, "Yes, it is feasible to do through webMethods." It has reached such a level of flexibility and maturity. Most of the things are available out of the box, and even if something is not available out of the box, we can customize it and deliver it for a client's requirements.” - Sushant D., IT specialist at Accenture
