Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I find the Outlook client very valuable. It allows me to connect to the Exchange Server and send and receive emails easily. The graphical interface is user-friendly and has a good look and feel.""For me, the solution is very user-friendly. I've used it a long time and I know where everything is.""This solution handles all of our primary functionality including email, message delivery, message archiving and calendars.""I find Exchange's basic mail features to be highly valuable.""The backup and archiving features are valuable, it is user friendly too.""I like the logistics and the Microsoft protocol of reaching Outlook anywhere.""The initial setup is quite a straightforward process. I don't think it is a very complicated solution. Plenty of things could be more complex, but the ordinary, general settings are quite simple.""It is very well integrated with other Microsoft programs, teams, and so on. They work well together."

"The tool's implementation has made life easier for customers. It is sold by SAP. The integration between SAP and the solution is good, making it easy to access the documents. It is widely recognized as a market leader in enterprise document management.""We like how the solution allows us to have retention of records and workflows, as well as its fire plan.""I did not face issues with the product's scalability...The solution's technical support is good.""It has a robust search but has often been difficult for people to learn.""The product can be integrated with different solutions.""An advantage is integration with your IP directory."

Cons
"I don't have the best impression of customer service and support. It should be faster and more clear, and more human. T""From a reliability perspective, they need to improve the search engine, it is not very powerful.""In the version we have, I would like to see better communication between the end device and the Exchange server.""The solution should be easier to deploy.""Load balancing is lacking.""Its search functionality can be better. It is currently not really easy. It has the capability to search your mailbox, but it has some restrictions in terms of the number of results that you can retrieve. You can only get around 250 results. If you want to do a deeper search, you need to use different functionalities of the product. The policy that we have for handling emails is that we do not delete emails at all. If I insert the text that I am searching for in the Search field, it only retrieves a limited number of emails. To search for an email from 2010, I need to use different search functions to find what I am looking for. Microsoft can also improve its licensing for its products. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing.""There are issues when you add your domain to Microsoft Tenant, and you try to create that. Which is a problem for me.""In terms of probability, every now and then there are changes coming and going. The changes are not that frequent because every month they got updates back, so that is an issue."

More Microsoft Exchange Cons →

"OpenText Content Manager needs to improve its user interface. Its installation process is difficult and can be made easier.""The ease of use should be addressed.""Support could be enhanced. The first line of support consists of individuals who lack experience with some key aspects. When you create a support ticket, the time to resolve the issue may be prolonged because the first person may not understand the system or the solution.""The product could improve its scalability.""Due to very limited use in the industry, vendor and contract support are hard to find.""The stability of the solution is an area of concern where improvements can be made."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "They are flexible when it comes to pricing, unlike most of the other vendors I have dealt with."
  • "It's working very well. There is no problem, but the price is not the best."
  • "Its price is okay."
  • "It's a little bit expensive."
  • "Its price is very affordable, and basically, it is the standard of the industry. We have the Exchange 365 subscription, which includes the usage of Exchange Online. I don't know the specific cost, but it is the retail price of Microsoft 365 E3 licenses. Microsoft's licensing is not very easy to understand. Microsoft changes rules every other day, which makes it difficult for us to understand the licensing not only for Exchange but also for other products. It can sometimes be really complex to understand what you need to have in order to comply with Microsoft licensing."
  • "Microsoft doesn't have a unit price, it's based on the quantity, and they offer great discounts."
  • "We are currently using enterprise licenses for the solution. They are different pricing models available. There are individual, cloud-based, and enterprise licenses all with different pricing models. The larger the number of users, the lesser the price. For small to medium companies like us, we feel it is expensive."
  • "Its price is fair."

  • "I would suggest that you do a thorough evaluation of all competing products and look for support for these products in your local area."
  • "The fees incurred are for the licensing and maintenance."
  • "I rate the product price an eight or nine on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive. The solution is expensive."
  • "The solution's licensing cost depends on the customer domain. Though its costs are high, the product is worth the money. You have to pay a one-time cost and support costs."
