"It's a powerful application for collaboration. It has many features for customization and integration.""It has an efficient design flow.""When using IBM stacks, IBM App Connect is suitable and integrates well with other IBM products like WebSphere.""The most valuable feature is the security.""App Connect's best feature is that it can be deployed in a container.""We use IBM App Connect for the integration between the applications.""Very scalable, flexible, and user-friendly.""The most valuable feature is the user-friendliness of the application."

"SAP Process Orchestration is middleware where we are able to manage and interact with everything from a single location. One of the most beneficial areas is monitoring which is very easy because it is all in one place. There are many adapters added recently that can be used for new functionality. The solution is easy to operate and it is more mature than the cloud solution provided by SAP.""The monitoring tools are the most valuable feature.""The solution is stable.""The initial setup is easy.""In my opinion, SAP PO is the most mature suite of tools to integrate processes across SAP environments at this moment. It's really unbeatable because it allows you to integrate whatever scenarios you can imagine.""The most valuable feature of SAP Process Orchestration is its flexibility in being able to build integrations with SAP systems and non-SAP systems.""SAP Process Orchestration has all the features that are necessary.""The most valuable features of SAP Process Orchestration are its system monitoring and alerts."

Cons
"IBM App Connect is scalable. From the administration side, they need to improve the RBAC model, as well as the clustering of this product. It will be good if we can start up the cluster, via IBM Connect Console. Some other products like MuleSoft, are providing this type of administration. MuleSoft is easy to use and user friendly.""The addition of string functionality would be a benefit, particularly in the ESQL space that IBM already uses internally.""IBM App Connect should improve security features.""They reply in one or two hours at most, but they could be better.""The setup time for App Connect could be improved.""It is not easy to deploy. It requires someone with a high level of knowledge in the solution to deploy it, not just anyone can do it.""The product should improve its support.""Updates are constantly delayed."

"SAP needs to improve a lot in terms of the orchestration part so that more adapters can be provided to users, which are areas where the solution has downsides.""I feel that support is an area that needs improvement. They need to improve the response time and address the customer's issues as soon as possible.""The responsiveness of technical support needs to be improved.""I think the main area that SAP PO should improve on is offering pre-delivered content like they do when you use SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). SAP should not forget that they still have a lot of customers using Process Orchestration and they should focus more on providing pre-delivered content in SAP PO.""The solution could improve by making it more user-friendly by limiting the code required. We have to add some code in some cases where we need complex logic or some other functions. If this was able to be done in a more simplified manner then it would save a lot of effort and time.""It would be beneficial to enhance the ease of implementing new projects and improve overall stability in our implementations.""The solution could be more scalable.""It is scalable, but there can be performance issues with high data volume or traffic, especially during month ends."

    Overview

Rapidly connect public clouds, private clouds and on-premises application

App Connect Professional is IBM’s cloud integration offering which delivers an integration solution
    • With ease-of-use, flexibility and increased responsiveness to the evolving business needs, while removing the daunting complexities of integration.
    • Provides the powerful combination of a ‘simple integration experience’ for business users looking to automate how their applications talk to each other; coupled with a ‘configuration based integration’ approach for IT.
    • App Connect Professional is for the teams and integration developers who need to solve more complex problems and need powerful tooling for integration scenarios

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
