We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"MuleSoft offers with the Anypoint Platform a unified platform for API management and an integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) as well as an on-premise Enterprise Service Bus pattern.""The solution's market place for different kinds of integration platforms is the most valuable feature.""The monitoring capabilities of this product are very good because of the feedback it supplies in statistics.""I have found several things most valuable, including its very quick implementation that you can use a lot of out of the box templates, and lastly that it is a very mature product, especially in hybrid integration.""This is the easiest and best tool available.""API management.""It is very easy to use for building connectors. It comes with a lot of connectors. For example, it has different adapters for NetSuite, which are very easy to use. It also has Salesforce connectors. The object store feature is also really easy to use. Mule Anypoint Platform is also good in terms of performance and how it is managed behind the scenes.""The API toolkit is the solution's most valuable aspect at this time, for our organization."

"The monitoring is one of the greatest features in Process Orchestration because it is user-friendly and easy for somebody who is not experienced.""The solution provides very good and central logging systems. It offers high flexibility with vertical and horizontal extend capacity.""The product has good technical support but you usually will not need it because it is quite stable.""The initial setup is easy.""The most valuable feature is the seamless integration with backend systems.""Great monitoring tools and has its own alert framework.""The standard adapter with EBA abilities is the most valuable feature. It has good process integration.""With the latest version what I find to be the most valuable are the REST, SuccessFactors, and Ariba Network adapters."

Cons
"MuleSoft's release calendar is rather conventional with two major, two minor releases and hotfixes in between. The competition sometimes offer more rapid release cycles and provides improved and new functionality with a faster time-to-market.""Technical support needs to be improved, especially when you need help with more technical aspects of the solution.""The runtime management and connectors could use some work and are vulnerable to breakage after upgrades.""An on-premise setup requires special skills and you need a lot of professional services.""Mule should have better B2B integration.""Lacks intelligent management data and intelligent mappings.""It has different types of subscriptions. For platinum or lower subscriptions, there are not too many things that can be done. We don't see many features. They should release a basic version that has logging and monitoring features. These features should come with Mule Anypoint Platform for free instead of making customers pay separately for these features. Its dashboard can be improved to have a lot of charts so that it is easy to visualize information. The utilization part can be improved. The dashboard is good currently, but it can be better. Other solutions like Elastic have a good dashboard, and they allow you to administer the product from the UI. Currently, for RTF, there is a different dashboard or utility. It would be good to include the same utility in the cloud solution. It would be good if there is a centralized repository that includes the links to the information about various troubleshooting issues. The documentation is there currently, and it is good, but the troubleshooting information is too scattered. We have to go to different links to find troubleshooting information. This kind of centralized repository would be helpful for new customers who are implementing this solution. It will be helpful to see different kinds of issues that can occur.""The terms of use and how it's priced has become very difficult to manage, which is forcing us to look for alternatives already - and we haven't even been using it for that long just yet."

"The responsiveness of technical support needs to be improved.""In terms of technical support, it would be helpful if they handled the tickets a bit faster when queries are sent to them.""The monitoring governance offered by SAP is too technical and needs to be geared more toward business users.""It does not have all of the industry-standard solutions available in PO and it is not plug and play, so we have to do a lot of development.""The older version of the solution will no longer be supported.""The cloud capability features need improvement.""I feel that support is an area that needs improvement. They need to improve the response time and address the customer's issues as soon as possible."

Overview

With connectivity, composability, and control, Anypoint Platform solves the most challenging connectivity problems across SOA, SaaS, and APIs. It's a unified, highly productive, hybrid integration platform that creates an application network of apps, data and devices with API-led connectivity.

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration facilitates the integration of business processes that span different departments, organizations, or companies. SAP PI is based on general standards so as to enable 3rd-party systems to be integrated. At the center of SAP PI is an XML-based communication that uses HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol). Irrespective of the scenario used, the application-specific contents are transferred in messages in user-defined XML eXtensible Markup Language) from the sender to the receiver either via the Integration Server, or directly between the systems involved. SAP PI can be installed in different ways: Dual usage type installation: Based on both AS ABAP and AS Java. and Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX): Based on AS Java only.
