Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The initial setup is very straightforward.""Jira Align is an easy-to-use and user-friendly solution.""The most valuable feature of Jira Align is the overall team vision.""Jira Align's most valuable features are the roadmap, the program board, and the reports.""It's easy to set up.""Jira Align is an intuitive tool that features a roadmap view...The initial setup was straightforward...Jira Align is definitely worth the money.""The tool helps us to stick with the timeline and budget of our projects. It also helps me to identify dependencies and red flags and intervene wherever possible. I have found the key metrics tab also useful.""The tool helps us with better tracking across various departments. Jira Align is highly valuable for organizations due to its flexibility. With my experience as an administrator, I can attest that it can be tailored to meet the diverse needs of any organization. It helps to eliminate the mess created by Excel spreadsheets."

"The tool helped us to more effectively and efficiently gather and structure the information (requirements, test plans, project management data, etc.), and share it with the involved stakeholders in a safe and change-controlled manner.""The technical support is quite good.""Scalability is good...The integration is quite good.""It meets with everybody's needs without having to grab plugins.""The most valuable feature is the function of the ALM system.""The best feature of Polarion ALM to me is its traceability link.""The features I find the most valuable are requirement tracking and schematics.""We had a nice experience with technical support."

Cons
"The solution’s stability could be improved.""Jira Align fails to provide its users with a complete package in terms of portfolio management.""I don't know if Jira provides training for people who want to be certified with the solution, so that is one of the problems.""One of the biggest issues I found in the new version was once we clicked on one of the tasks that were specifically for our group and went to look at the other portfolios in other areas we had to browse all the way back to the beginning. If you click the back button, it would not work, it stayed the same place. Additionally, if you click on page B, but then you wanted to go back to page A it would not go back to page A. You would have to browse back to the portfolio and then find your group again and open it. This was the only issue that I had with it and I am not sure if it is a Jira issue or it was because of the way the site was laid out.""The framework could be better.""The product should improve its communication. My English proficiency is not high, but writing in English is another skill that you need. Maybe AI can help here. Because I can see in some other applications, they have AI helpers. So when you write something and you want to do something, it can help. For example, Google Cloud Platform has it. They have a helpdesk for it. When you want to create a cluster, it can help you.""It would be helpful if they had something for capacity planning that was simpler to understand.""Lacks sufficient reporting capabilities."

More Jira Align Cons →

"The tool needs to improve its planning. It also needs to add more integrations.""The solution needs to improve its user experience and graphics.""As Polarion ALM is a development-oriented tool, easy support or easy access is provided by default, but if I want to use detailed features, I need to write the script, particularly the VM script, and this is its area for improvement. I want Polarion ALM to have a graphical user interface that doesn't need scripting. In the next release of the tool, I'd like for it to not require scripting and programming because needing to run script language is time-consuming.""The user interface is not yet optimized.""One of Polarion's shortcomings would be planning. It can handle plans, but the planning feature is very basic.""The ease-of-use could be improved a little.""Test management lacks an automated process.""The interface for this solution needs to be made more user-friendly to provide a better user experience."

    Reviews from Real Users

Jira Align stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its program-level planning options and its reporting capabilities.

A project manager at a consultancy notes, “I like how things can be sorted out, and it shows the different objectives one can do. You could also create a team view that would allow your team to see work outcomes. Jira Align also helps with the reporting, because we can export data to Excel or another format.”
