We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It takes less than five minutes to set up and delivers results. It is much quicker than traditional ETL technologies.""The tool's middle-dimensional structure significantly simplifies obtaining the right data at the appropriate level. This feature makes deploying our applications easier since we utilize a single source without publishing data from various sources.""It can scale to a great extent. It can handle the load that we are putting on it, which is about 5TBs.""The most valuable feature of Matillion ETL is the UI experience in which you can drag and drop most of the transformation.""It has helped us to get onto the cloud quickly.""It has improved the costs of managing my customer’s data.""The simplicity of this tool is nice. It has a good graphical user interface. You can also do a lot of generic stuff in the tool. If there is good connectivity to a cloud database, such as Snowflake, and you can have a lot of Snowflake functionality in the tool.""The most valuable feature of Matillion ETL is its ease of use. If you have had some experience with other solutions, such as Snowflake, the use of this solution will be simple."

"The solution could improve its API management.""You can use other languages, such as Python, and easily connect to other systems.""It's more developer-friendly, and development can be done at a faster phase.""What I found most valuable in SnapLogic is the ETL feature, particularly the Transform Snap Pack, for example, any kind of reading or writing on Transform Snaps. Other than that, all the third-party connectivity tools such as the SAP Snap Pack, Salesforce Snap Pack, Workday Snap Pack, even the ServiceNow Snap Pack, I find all those are pretty useful in SnapLogic.""It is a scalable solution.""SnapLogic is an IPA tool that leverages a low code environment to connect to multiple sources, extract data, and store it in Azure data lake.""By using snaps instead of functions in code, you can see the building blocks of the integration visually. This helps a lot.""The product is easy to use and has many connectivity options."

Cons
"When using the SQL loader type there were not a lot of pre-processing features for the data. For example, if there is a table with twenty columns, but we only want to load ten columns. In that case, we can use a security script to select the specific columns needed. However, if we want to perform extensive pre-processing of the data, I faced some challenges with Matillion ETL. I did not encounter many challenges, but my overall experience is limited as I only have three years of experience.""The product must enhance its near-real-time data capture feature.""Performance can be improved for efficiency, and it can be made faster.""While the UI is good, it could be improved in its efficiency and made easier to use.""One of the features that's in development is data privacy in the cloud, along with further SAP integration. For connectivity to SAP systems.""It needs integration with more data sources.""The cost of the solution is high and could be reduced.""To complete the pipeline, they might want to include some connectors which would put the data into different platforms. This would be helpful."

"I am looking for more scheduling options. When it comes to scheduling, there are different tools in the market.""We'd like there to be more ways for users to get more comfortable and have more experience with the solution to make it easier to use.""The dashboards regarding scheduled tasks need further improvement.""We'd like zero downtime in the future.""One of the areas for improvement in SnapLogic is that the connectors for some of the applications should be more available in terms of testing in the dev environment. Another area for improvement is that the logging should be standardized, for example, the integration with an ELK stack should be required out-of-the-box, so you can ship the log and have it in the ELK stack. There should be integration with ELK stack for the log shipping.""I don't think the support has better knowledge about technologies and tool support. There were lots of times when we had an issue, and it took me quite a long time to explain the problem. I feel like some of the support staff don't know their product well.""SnapLogic sits somewhere in the middle. It doesn’t offer enough easy canned integrations for its users like some of the easier to use integration apps.""There is room for improvement with APM management and how task execution looks."
