Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It has a lot of features for creating and managing workflows, as well as for integrating with other applications. Nintex offers features, particularly to ensure a user-friendly experience.""The SharePoint feature is a really good connection, there are many features that are good.""I think the initial setup is fine.""I really like the visual representation. It actually looks like a flow chart, which is nicer than a SharePoint Designer workflow, which doesn't have that ability.""It provides data accuracy with fewer failures.""It leverages the out-of-the-box SharePoint back-end. This means that you don’t need to install or deploy additional infrastructure to support Nintex Workflow, unlike some of its competitors.""The setup is easy.""The solution helped us automate several processes we used to do manually."

"In terms of its most valuable features, this solution, in general, will provide all you need and it's very convenient to use. We can share our details to collaborative platforms. We can give access to users. It's pretty flexible.""The fact that you can see and create something that fits your business is the most valuable thing in this platform. It is a customizable product, so it fits your needs.""The fact that it allows for the internal sharing of information is very good.""OpenText 360's best features are platform independence and its performance when searching large numbers of documents.""It's all now on cloud subscription, so you can use all the features without worrying about making the system updates patches.""The most valuable feature of OpenText 360 for SharePoint is its performance. The solution is one of the best in the market if you search the internet.""The product has a strong and easy integration with Teams.""It has a lot of flexibility, and Microsoft does come up with some new additions from time to time."

Cons
"Currently, copying workflow actions from one workflow to another is not possible. Also, the Office 365 solution is not as mature as on-premise.""We cannot use the same solution on cloud.""Unfortunately, Nintex Workflow is not that stable. We are looking at shifting to another tool.""The tool lacks to offer support for the Arabic language, and it needs consideration.""Nintex is still at the starting point of integrating with AI. It has integrated with a very small piece of artificial intelligence., like only integrated with the Google Cloud. There is a benefit, like a no-code and low-code solution. But, again, if you are a developer, especially if you are a hardcore developer, you are using your code knowledge, its skills, and all. And, suddenly, you are moving into the low-code solution, and then you will feel, like, so many things you can't achieve with the low-code solution.""The Workflow Designer needs improvement.""The solution needs more RPA and AI features.""We would like to design parallel workflows and long-running workflows, along with new features for connecting to cloud-based systems."

More Nintex Process Platform Cons →

"I would like for there to be even more integrations in the next release and I believe that the price could go down a bit.""Its licensing needs to be simplified. Currently, its licensing is very complex. It contains a number of pieces, and you have to be an expert in reading all the conditions in the license. They should simplify the licensing and make it easier to understand. It would make a customer's life easier.""They are not going for any add-ons right now. It's the same version we are still using and there is no plan of upgrading and/or creating any add-ons at all.""The platform's workflows could be more intuitive and easier to use.""Integration is an area where the solution lacks.""An area for improvement would be how the platform handles large volumes of documents. It also doesn't provide a very good, robust backup and restore capacity. In the next release, I would like the search technology to be improved.""If I have to really create an internal knowledge management portal, if I have to compare SharePoint and WordPress, WordPress is far, far better in regard to the SharePoint option.""OpenText 360 is generally stable, though there are sometimes issues with document size or format."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Nintex products are expensive, but valuable. Licensing in on-premise was historically based on a perpetual model, where you’d license per Web front-end. However, they are switching exclusively to a consumption (subscription) model, where you purchase the number of workflows you think you’ll use in your environment, and can scale up from there."
  • "Offering a licensing model that allows for multiple small workflows would be a huge improvement to an already great platform."
  • "Our maintenance costs are reduced."
  • "The annual support costs are expensive."
  • "Comparatively, it's expensive."
  • "We pay on a yearly basis. It's my understanding that we pay approximately $11,000/year."
  • "The initial investment in K2 is heavy. Currently, the expenditure is $28,000 for a year. After we go to the cloud, it is going to be per seat and probably cheaper. Currently, there are unlimited users."
  • "There is an initial fee when purchasing and a fee for maintenance afterward."

  • "On-premises version is expensive"
  • "SharePoint uses a subscription model."
  • "There is a license needed to use OpenText 360 for SharePoint and we pay annually. The price of the solution could be less expensive."
  • "OpenText 360's price varies depending on how long you've been a customer, how many licenses you have, and which products you use."
