We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Our customers have benefited from Omada Identity automating the certification process. Most of our customers were using manual methods for user access certification. With Omada Identity, you can automate almost all of it, which means that certification now becomes on demand. You don't have to wait for two or three months to execute a certification timeframe. Instead, you can do certifications as often as you want.""I appreciate all the support we receive from Omada.""The Governance and self-service that can be set up so you can use them yourself to work in the system are the most valuable features. End users can be enabled to help themselves.""We are able to onboard new user accounts much faster by automating the process and standardizing our operations globally. Previously, there were many individual processes and manual admin interactions. We also see a lot of cost savings and benefits because through automation and standardization.""The best feature in Omada Identity is that it enables us to implement standardized employee life cycle processes so that we don't have to create them ourselves. We can then use the standard workflows. The breadth and scope of the solution’s IGA features also fulfill our requirements.""Its best feature is definitely the process design. It is quite easy and straightforward to design a process.""The administrative features and SoD are valuable.""We used to have a problem where an employee's access wasn't terminated when they left the company. Now, we have much better visibility into and control over who has access."

More Omada Identity Pros →

"Roles, connectors for provisioning and re-accreditation or reviews help greatly to govern user access.""The most valuable feature is the security, in particular, the One Time Password support.""RSA Identity Governance and lifecycles are good for the access certification and auditing sections.""With the tool in place, you need to hire fewer people to provide access, and you have control over your processes.""The data collection is excellent and easy to do. It does not require a lot of configuration nor does it require rules to be written like other competitors do."

More RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle Pros →

"When comparing it to other products, you can set up CA IAM in a PoC very quickly to demonstrate its provisioning capabilities.""It has good endpoint support and endpoint connectivity to different versioning endpoints.""It is easy to use, and does not requires an extensive programming or development background.""Streamlines user access, consolidates applications.""The product is relatively easier to use than other identity management products.""Out-of-the-box the product has a lot of opportunity for configuration and sophisticated identity management capability.""There are many valuable features within the solution. The product is easy to customize. It’s also highly secure.""What I found most valuable in Symantec Identity Governance and Administration is its simple GUI. It's also easy to deploy compared to other products. With other products, you have to install the Windows version inside the Windows machine on all units, but with Symantec Identity Governance and Administration, it can work offline, so the solution is a little bit easier than other systems."

Cons
"The UI design needs improvement. One or two years ago, Omada changed its user interface to simplify, but the simplification has not really kicked in.""The reporting and importing have room for improvement.""The comprehensiveness of Omada's out-of-the-box connectors for the applications we use could be better. We are getting a new HR system called Cornerstone for which they do not have an out-of-the-box connector, so we have to take the REST connector and play around with it.""The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement.""We are trying to use Omada's standards and to adapt our processes. But we have had some trouble with the bad documentation. This is something that they could improve on. It has not been possible for us to analyze some of the problems so far, based on the documentation. We always need consultants. The documentation should include some implementation hints and some guidelines for implementing the processes.""When you do a recalculation of an identity, it's hard to understand what was incorrect before you started the recalculation, and which values are actually updated... all you see are all the new fields that are provisioned, instead of seeing only the fields that are changed.""The account management integration isn't bad, but it isn't plug-and-play like Microsoft Azure. You need some deep development knowledge to set up the connectors.""The Omada support response time has room for improvement."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"There are scalability issues. This product does not scale very well. It is not a good product for load balancing / active–active architecture.""This product is missing a lot of features which other competitors are providing. One of the key features that are missing right now is risk scoring. Additionally, there is not much scope for customization - everything is hard-coded and predefined, so it does not allow the developers to make many modifications.""Every connector that you have in the product needs to be custom-built, so there are not a lot of standard connectors available in the product, because of which there are a lot of hidden consultancy costs.""The user interface and workflow need improvement, and more connectors would help.""RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle could improve out-of-the-box customization.""If you use the appliance version then it won't handle a huge database volume.""Technical support in Pakistan can be improved."

More RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle Cons →

"The drawback with the CA Identity Manager is they don't have a connector to HR systems like SAP, or PeopleSoft, or Workday. That's a major drawback with the CA Identity Manager. For that we have to do lots of custom quoting to get data from HR systems. And if they could connect it to GRC systems, that's good to have in an identity product.""Provisioning has a dependency on Windows.""It has a large footprint which you'd expect to be much, much smaller. Just to run basic services, we have 10 different servers. Also, if it were easier to manage, that'd be useful.""The directory has room for improvement. Also, the dashboards and, in particular, the KPI dashboard that shows the current user’s information needs reworking.""The product has a lot of need for improvement. Our issues are being raised back to the vendor as enhancements.""There are several areas for improvement in Symantec Identity Governance and Administration. They have no proper documentation on how to do backups. They also have a lengthy workflow process where we have to make some configurations to manage automation in the rules and in our tasks which takes time. We have to manually configure all the configuration files, and we cannot export users because there's no export system in Symantec Identity Governance and Administration. What we'd like to see in the next release of the solution is for them to make configuration and integration with other systems their top priorities. We have many API systems to manage, so hopefully, if they make these enhancements shortly, we can directly connect with our API systems when using Symantec Identity Governance and Administration.""We would like to see integration with analytics. Also, for them to be more efficient regarding discovering and implementing new rules.""The development process to create this connector is not as easy as I would like."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."
  • More Omada Identity Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Pricing varies based on user count/number of modules you need."
  • "We are using the cloud platform, but we don't find it compatible to be served as a multi-tenant platform. This is a large drawback. It becomes expensive because it is then an all-dedicated solution. You have to have a separate tenant for each client, which increases the cost. The overall unit pricing can be less expensive than how it is right now."
  • "I rate the product's price a five on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive."
  • More RSA Identity Governance and Lifecycle Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "Compared to other options, CA products are not that expensive."
  • "The price is based on the number of users."
  • "Pricing and licensing models are adequate and reasonable."
  • "The connector is free, and bundled with the product."
  • "I do not recall the approximate prices or licensing models, although I do so that it was priced per user number."
  • "The product has a good price in competition with another product with the same solution."
  • "Symantec keeps increasing the price. I rate its pricing a seven on a scale of ten."
  • "The price is flexible for our existing customers."
