We performed a comparison between Stormshield Endpoint Security and Trend Micro Apex One based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike and others in Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP)."It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up."
"We have FortiEDR installed on all our systems. This protects them from any threats."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"This is stable and scalable."
"The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"The main thing is that I feel safe. Because the processes that have been used to get a handle on the attackers are much better than other competitors"
"The feature I find most valuable is that it protects the global station."
"The most valuable features are reporting and where we have the ability to report back and provide information when an item is quarantined or not quarantined."
"They have a wide range of products, including a couple for virtual patching, which is very important."
"The web console is quite helpful, as is the visibility view for deployment. Updates do things like Device Control Management, which I can control."
"I have found it beneficial when I update a policy it is implemented within a few seconds and the blocking of USB storage function."
"The initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"Apex One is effective at catching malicious activity. It has multiple modules that improve threat prevention across hundreds of networks."
"I like Apex One's playbooks because they make it easier to set rules and policies. You can customize the playbooks and use them in more than one company. If you manage multiple businesses, it's a great way to set separate policies for each group. You can check for vulnerabilities, attacks, bugs, or anything strange. It also allows you to conduct performance analysis."
"Stability-wise, it is a good product, and I rate it a ten out of ten."
"Detections could be improved."
"Integration with Azure and SaaS provisioning tools could improve Fortinet FortiEDR."
"I would like the solution to extend beyond endpoint protection and include other attack surfaces such as other network components."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"We find the solution to be a bit expensive."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office."
"The solution's integration with the Windows environment could be better."
"Technical support is very very slow. There is no French support. Only English. The experts are in England, the United States, or Japan, I don't know where. So the support is really lacking."
"The console can be better in terms of management and viewing the hierarchy of devices. Currently, setting up the hierarchy OU-wise is a bit cumbersome. It can be made a bit easier. If that can be more user-friendly and easier to manage, it would be great."
"The support is slow and has room for improvement."
"No product can ever be rated a ten out of ten. They are always improving on one aspect or another."
"The integration could improve in this solution."
"All the features in Trend Micro Apex One are not compatible or functional for all the different operating systems. For example, they have fewer features in other operating systems compared to what they have for Microsoft Windows. It would be nice if they could have one solution which all functions work on all kinds of operating systems. It would be much easier for those who have different operating systems in their environment to have one solution."
"We cover many things, but there is something called ATP, advanced threat prevention. I think they need to invest in this technology."
"It would be better if it was easier to administer Apex One."
